Tuesday.

OK beginning of a short week. Yay!
Getting to grips with my 'back down to earth' clearing up, washing and ironing after my wonderful weekend away - how boring.  But hey, not long until the next bursting-at-the-seams weekend.  Yes lots going on what with youngest son's birthday, Stag do day out (Obviously for hubby not me - meaning I can shop!),  another Birthday get-together and a Christening.  Busy, busy all weekend!

For the Christening I've decided to wear my gorgeous gift from my husband, the M & Co, White Broderie Sleeveless Shift Dress.  Shopping tomorrow for some sandals, I'm aiming for tan, but who knows what I'll find! Will post a photo next week to show you all the outfit.

With Hubby off  out for the day on Saturday, I'm planning to visit the garden centre for some plants for my very dull, weedy terracotta pots. Love having pots in my garden, because having no flower beds, I can at least have some pretty flowers to look at and having some planted with herbs, something I will use when I'm cooking.  I'm praying it doesn't rain so I can spend the afternoon in the garden, fingers crossed for me!

No #ootd today, so I've added a Wish list instead, what do you reckon?   Have you got something in particular on your wish list?  I'd love to hear what it is...

This first item, the super, stylish Tweed Jacket from Zara, coming in sizes xs to xl, this stunning blue jacket is a bargain for £69.99.
Great with jeans, equally as good with navy straight leg trousers, teamed either with a red or white blouse to show my patriotic side, a real winner in my eyes!

How about these tan/cork T bar sandals? £50, with 20% off now, so why not take a look online or in- store?

Finally...who doesn't like embroidered clothes?  What about this funky white tunic from H & M?  A steel at £14.99, in Small, Medium and Large can be worn on it's own or over shorts.  With summer on it's way, this can be a cute addition to a summer wardrobe.  Bring on the BBQ's!

So until tomorrow....Byee..X

Back earlier than expected!

Hi to all, back sooner than I thought after a fab weekend in Cornwall visiting some family.  Glorious weather down in Cornwall which made for a special weekend.
The Pencubitt House, built in 1897, is a stunning property situated in Liskeard and is ideal for visiting the surrounding areas of South East Cornwall and Devon, close to Bodmin Moor and also the local fishing villages of Looe and Polperro.

We visited my family for a cosy evening meal in their family home near Liskeard catching up and enjoying the views of the surrounding contryside, the great weather was such contrast to my previous visit when it rained.  It was such an interesting night and was the perfect start to a wonderful weekend.

On Sunday Polperro was visited for the first time.  Wow such a picturesque little fishing village, I couldn't stop taking photos.  An array of narrow streets and alleyways, with plenty of shops, pubs and restaurants adjoing the many little houses and holiday homes squeezed inbetween them. Working my way down the streets, checking out the interesting shops, showing their arts and crafts, eventually finding the harbour that was sheltered by the cliff ravine, it is a truly traditional fishing village with a mixture of colourfully painted houses, fishing boats and aptly named pubs!

Here's a couple of outfits I took with me, Non-crease items were my best option, the jeans got plenty of wear, adding different tops to change the look each day.  One dress for the evening meal in the Pencubitt Restaurant.

The beautiful pearl drop earrings I purchased last week came with me for the weekend and I wore them with this blue and turquoise maxi dress, I choose not to wear a necklace, so that my earrings stood out, I'm thinking they did just that!

Next Jeans got some wear this weekend, and here's one way I wore them.  Florence and Fred stripy long line T shirt, black and white 'Breton' style. This top had long splits up each side so I decided to wear another white T underneath, although it was a bit too hot at times, problem solved by a drink stop in a couple of the many drinking venues along the route!
Obviously visiting Cornwall, I had to partake in a Cornish Pasty, mouth-.watering to say the least.

So how was your weekend? What did you get up to? I'd love to hear from you.
Until tomorrow...Bye, Bye...X

White Jeans Day.

Today after seeing lots of lovely blogs over the past few days, I've choose White Jeans!  Now the weather has hopefully turned and will stay turned, I can wear my white jeans and enjoy how they make me feel.  I'm hankering after white and tan now, so have paired them with tan, long line t shirt from Matalan, some tan beads and leopard print court shoes years old from M & S, all these items are a few years old, but many shops have similar items so you could copy this style - that's if you like it!

Good old denim jacket that comes out every year completed the look.  Another of my fav bags joined me today - a TK Maxx bargain, as they all are, it's a Mila Paoli, throw everything in kinda bag, and yes I usually do!

A little shopping spree with eldest daughter and Princess and managed to pop a couple of delightful tops into my bag, along with a gorgeous pair of earrings, drop pearl with silver and diamante detail. Took advantage of the 20% off in Debenhams and bought the beauties for only £8!!!

Yesterday I told you about my surprise present from Hubby, sad to say It was...well a bit snug! Had to change for a larger size, however larger size had a rather nasty looking flaw in it so have ordered another for delivery next week...Shame I can't take it away with me.  (Sad face).
Watch out for a post when I receive it.

Off to pack last minute bits ready for off, off and away early tomorrow morning.

So long and see you Tuesday with a few photos from family visit to Cornwall..X

Yay It's nearly the weekend.

Hello you lovely people...Hoping you're all great today.

I've really had a lazy day today, spent most of it having cuddles with my Princess..X  Drinking plenty of tea and generally enjoying the company of two of my daughters and princess.
Cutting grass was the only job I had to do, however I do love being in the garden so it wasn't really a chore!

Who loves a present? Well I sure do and I got a cute little white dress from hubby!!  Cotton sleeveless broderie shift dress, just hope the size fits me! Also available in red and yellow, It's going to be a stunning little dress and I can't wait to get styling and wearing it.

Fancy styling this with tan, of which |I've got tan wedge sandals and an old favourite bag.  I'll pop up a blog tomorrow, and this little beauty has now forged a place in my weekend away bag!

Until tomorrow.. byee..X

Wednesday - planning for the weekend.

So as my title suggests I'm away for the weekend to Cornwall.
Off on a visit with family to see family.
I wonder what the weather will be like?  Last visit it rained and rained, so completely a very watery weekend was had.  Let's hope It's not going to be the same. (However, note to self take an umbrella or  raincoat!)
Going to try and pack 'light' this time, I always seem to pack way too much and my stylish idea of one overnight bag and one handbag turns into both of these and a plastic carrier bag with an extra pair of shoes, a wrap and extra make-up!  WON'T happen this time.

So here goes, first idea...
Two pairs of Jeans
One Jumper
One Dress
Extra Blouse
Two T Shirts
Baseball Trainers
Two Scarfs
Going out Shoes

Second idea...
One pair of Jeans
One pair of Trousers
Two T Shirrts
Two Dresses
One Jumper
One Scarf
One Pair Dressy shoes
One Blouse

Let's see how this pans out!!

Anyhow, back to today. Styling my new little purchase - much inspired Stripy Palazzo F & F trousers.
I choosen a plain white T shirt from good old Matalan, with H & M black blazer to keep it simple, Splashing a bit of colour with this gorgeous blue, white and green necklace, this was so difficult for me because I just wanted to match with any one of my pearl necklaces to keep with my normal monochrome look.  So I have tried - and what do you think?
The trouble is I don't really have many statement coloured pieces, eg bags, jackets, cardigans,  Will keep this in mind on my next shopping spree!

Hope you like how I've styled these fabulous striped palazzo trousers,

Why not nip over to see The pleated Poppy Linkup Here, and Today I am linking up with Tania on Wednesday’s Wardrobe. where you can visit  loads of brilliant blogs to get some amazing ideas.

Princess for the day.

Today I'm looking after my little Princess for the day - therefore this will be a short blog post.
Mummy and Daddy have dropped off Princess and I've got the whole day to have endless kisses, cuddles, playtime, walks and possibly some sweets may appear in the equation!  They do say what happens at Nanny's - stays at Nanny's!!  I think chocolate buttons are her favourite, actually mine too, ( well all chocolate really!)

Yesterday finally bought the Florence and Fred striped Palazzo pants - re-stocked at last.  I'm looking forward to styling these beauties - they're right up my street and can't wait to show you.  I've wanted some more stripy items in my wardrobe for ages, so this is a start.  Also picked up a long line stripy T shirt, just a casual style which would be suitable with jeans, leggings or tucked into straight leg trousers. So watch out for a future post about these items.

Dont' forget mid-season sales on at the moment especially in M & S and Florence and Fred, grab some bargains, that I'm sure you need!

Catching a couple of moments to sit down as I've been on the go since 6.30 when Princess arrived! She's been rocked to sleep on her birthday present swing and slide garden set,  I'm sure she won't need long and I can have some more kisses and cuddles - jealous much??

£99.99 from Argos!

See you tomorrow..X

Monday!

Hello ladies.  How are you all this Monday morning?

Been off blogging for a few days.  Hopefully back to normal now.

Night out at friends on Saturday night, little Prosecco and a bit of BBQ for me the first of the season!
We tried an awesome Camembert & Rosemary loaf, which tasted devine.  You can check out the easy recipe Here please try this it certainly is easy to do and amazing to taste.
I went for comfort with grey straight legs trousers, and grey wide sleeve blouse with crochet detailing to it, this has a grey cami to wear underneath for extra warmth on this chilly Saturday night.  This together with my white/black dotty sling backs from M & S made the outfit comfy and just the job for the nippy evening outside.
Chatting and catching up with our good friends along with the fizz made for an excellent evening and lifted my some what sombre mood.

Sunday had me up and out the door early for a family Christening.  A small family affair, within the normal Sunday Morning Service at a local Church, afterwards a mini feast was enjoyed by the family, along with a couple of glasses of vino.  Family are so important and I'm so lucky to have mine around for happy and also sad times - they give me strength and support, along with laughter and enjoyment,

For said christening I chose a cream long cami dress, with crochet overdress in the same cream colour,  Cinched in at the waist with my Primark cream/gold stud belt, my classic cream blazer finished off my classic style.  Favourite sling back nude courts were worn to complete the look.

How was your weekend?
What did you get up to? I'd love to hear what made your weekend special.

Thursday.

Morning lovely ladies, how are you all today?

Trip to the hairdressers this afternoon, much needed I hasten to add!
I actually hate having to colour my hair and wish the easy wash, trim and go days could return rather then spending endless hours in the salon having the grey 'highlights' made natural again!! Unfortunately I'm not ready yet and don't think I'll ever be ready to embrace the 'silver years'!!!
I know it suits so many people and I've nothing against it, but for me it's a no.
Therefore, many hours and even more ££'ss will have to be lost in the homage to "Glossy, coloured head of hair".

Still following the 'no jeans' rule so therefore today I'm opting for another of my TK Maxx dresses.
Leopard print design, length just below the knee (good choice for my knees!)  This heavy jersey material has a nice swing to it, but holds in the right places, such a comfortable dress to wear and always gets a nice comment or two when I wear it.  Gold bead necklace is a good choice and my nude Lotus slingbacks to elongate my legs completed the outfit.

Showing off another birthday present... I do love a bag from TK Maxx and could quite happily take about twenty, possibly more, away with me on each visit!

This Fiorelli beauty with a cross over body strap, has two compartments, both with zips and a front pocket also with a zip, a neutral cream colour to complement so many outfits and is going to get a lot of mileage from me over the summer months.....

How do ya' like today's attire?

Have you got a dress that you treasure?  One that feels like greeting an old friend when you put it on?

We've all got at least one and I'd love to hear all about it from you.

Until tomorrow...bye for now..X

Present I received for my Birthday.

Morning to you lovely ladies, hope you're fine and dandy on this half way day.

Today I thought I'd like to show off one of my gratefully received birthday presents.
Dont' you just love birthdays as you get older?  Love getting cards and reading the lovely words people write, I received so many beautiful cards and like to keep one or two to look back on - does anyone else do this?  I was given some gorgeous flowers by my God-daughter, beautiful pinks and mauves, my favourite colours.  Plenty of Prosecco was received! I can put that to great use I'm sure!

I chose my present from hubby this year, he's always so good a choosing something for me, but this year I spotted these adorable Sunnies at the airport and couldn't leave without them!

Ralph Lauren tortoise shell with a gold bar very retro I'm thinking and as soon as I put them on I knew they had to be mine.  Always cheaper at the airport so a winner in my eyes - for my eyes (big tick).
Original Ralph by Ralph Lauren Pink Havana/Brown, with the gorgeous Cat Eye style frame, they have a Polarised lens which is so good, for under £80!  Anyhow what do you think?

So back to today's outfit, still going with the 'no jeans' so today I've decided to opt for three quarter length white jeans (yes I know I'm not counting them as jeans) paired with a very ancient H & M longer length top, it's quite a statement with large yellow and black circles on the white background, with a round neck and flared sleeves to flatter my arms.

Anyway off to buy the striped trousers I saw a few weeks ago, being prompted to buy them now since seeing the lovely Laurie from Vanity and Me styling them so beautifully.

Why not pop over to The Pleated Poppy and tuckerup to view some great linkup blogs for great inspirational.

Until tomorrow Ladies..Bye..X

Good Morning Tuesday!

Hello to everyone.
Such a lovely morning here today, especially as it's eldest sons birthday.  What could be better than a little celebration with family and friends on this special day.

Happy to say still not worn jeans yet see previous blog Here although I must say the weather being warmer is an advantage.

Todays outfit for running around preparing for the Birthday celebrations im wearing flat t post sandals, cheapies from Primark, coral and black skirk from New Look, umpteen years old and one of my Matalan basic silky tops in a matching pale coral colour.  My Next mixture necklace finished off the look.  Cute I think.  I've also just got a battery in my silver watch so I'm back to wearing my silver jewellery today - it's nice to have a change eh?  Anyway hope you like the look, off to finish off birthday cake now, catch up tomorrow.

If anyone else is trying to go 'no jeans' how are you getting on?
