Blue Top amongst the Bluebells!
Hello there, hope you're all having a good day!
What have you got up to this week? Not much to report for me so far, but I did succeed at one thing ...
... I managed, without even trying, to pick up something I didn't really want this week, and definitely didn't need, no not a new bag or a new shoes (I'd always want those lol) ..... yes you guessed a cold! I'm sneezing and coughing, hot, cold and headachy - this is one gift I didn't want or need.
Okay enough moaning for one day.
Let's talk Bluebells instead. My earliest memory of them is when I must have been about 7 or 8, picking them in our local woods (are you still allowed to pick them - I don't think so!) & presenting them to my mum - if I remember correctly. Anyhow, I've just always loved the colour, and to see the stunning blue carpet stretching through the woods among the trees is certainly a sight to behold. Do you agree?
Finding bluebells in the woods, we set about taking photos, this went well for a while, but imagine our horror when we realised we were standing smack bang in the middle of an ants trail! Huge ants at that, there we were jumping and stamping our feet, brushing the little bugs from our ankles and toes, we must have looked a funny sight for anyone watching - fortunately we were alone, but they'd have been hilarious photos!
Anyway it was worthwhile, because the shots we gained have come out beautifully.
I picked up this pretty top because of the colour, a beautiful cobalt blue, it's a kimono style with a circular pattern of crochet on the sleeve and hem edge. I've left this hanging loose, but feel it would look equally as smashing tucked in.
I figured this would look super paired with white and what better leg wear than my very old, but much loved wide leg linen trousers. They're a palazzo style and came from M & S when they were the height of fashion, but hey I don't think they've ever gone out of fashion really!
Wanting to splash another colour into the mix, this necklace hosting a little pop of green did the trick.
As I said earlier the linen trousers I've owned for a long time, they used to be a staple for this over fifty fashion blogger, but now I hardly ever wear them, lets see how that goes, they may be called into action before the Summer's over, by way of a change.
