Meeting blogging friends in London.

Good Morning, how's your weekend been?
It's the last birthday today after a row of them in the MummaB circle.

Have you remembered what I was doing at the weekend?  Yes my mum's birthday celebrations and a meeting with two ladies from the 5 Over 50 Collection.  I had the pleasure of spending a few hours with Gail from Is this mutton , Anna from Anna's Island Style I  also Annemarie from  Mutton Years Style and I came along too.  I can't believe we actually did meet up, but we did & it was wonderful to get together with these inspiring ladies - finding out much more about them that you can't get from just reading a blog!

Here's what I wore to meet the ladies, I was all over the place with my choice of look, should I wear jeans? - too casual, a dress? too cold and dressy, leggings? not my best first meeting look either!  Well I shouldn't have worried at all because we all had a mixture of looks and all the ladies looked fabulous in the style choices.

The black wide leg crops went perfectly well with a recent purchase from Venice.  This frilly blouse caught my eye on my recent visit and came home with me without even trying on!  One of those purchases that I know will fit and look super on.  This little jacket worked well to brighten up my look, completing my outfit was the tan bag, shoe/boots and cute scarf.  Tan, black and white very pleasing to my eye & I hope yours too. X  Check out my two other looks with the Navy option of my wide leg cropped trousers here & here.

We decided to take a trip on the London Eye.
It was one of those funny scenarios when meeting someone you don't know, but would recognise anywhere!  I knew where Gail was standing, but couldn't see her! Gazing around looking among the hundreds of people I eventually spotted her - and guess what?  She looked exactly like she does on her blog!  Lol I don't quite know what I was expecting!!!  Then she saw Anna, who looked completely as I imagined, so with Annemarie joining at the same time our foursome was rounded off!
Well that's where we started talking, and quite frankly never stopped all bar eating that is! Ha ha.
We had an elegant ride on the London Eye, getting our fellow passengers to take some shots for us.  for any of us who might have been nervous passengers there wasn't any time to really worry about it, because we were all deep in conversations about the obvious (to bloggers that is)  am I doing this right, I'm doing for myself - like a kind of diary, my blog's not as good as anyone else's how to I increase my followers, how do I arrange collaborations???  Does this resonate with you?  Well you're not alone we all have these thoughts!  Now it's nice to hear that we all have our own little demons and foibles!

A light lunch with coffee in a local restaurant, was full of interest finding out snippets of each others private lives, issues and lots of information about the likes of Pinterest, Facebook, what the S in Https stands for - you understand where we're coming from?

All too soon our little gathering came to an end and it was time to head back to our various forms of transport, mine was a boat trip on the Thames Clippers and then onward by car home.  A quick drink in the local to collect the family and then I was off to my Mum's to celebrate her birthday with a Chinese meal for 15 plus children!   I told you it was busy, busy for MummaB.

Looking after my little grandson this morning, so I'm off to get ready for him, after such a hectic weekend, today wont be any different - love it!  Looking forward to tonight as we're out for a birthday meal so no cooking for me today - hurrah!

Have a great week my lovelies, and I'll catch up with you on Thursday, stay safe.
A big Happy Birthday to Emily, my middle daughter - have a super day my love. x

Bye for now. X

Hope you enjoyed the rest of your weekend :) We had a quiet one dealing with sick toddlers unfortunately. Thankfully everyone is feeling better!

  4. I love blogger meet ups! It's so crazy how you can meet people online nowadays, and how even though you never met them in person you have so much in common to talk about! I'm a big fan of your striped jacket! It's just oh-so polished!

  19. Meeting with other bloggers close to your age. I've never gotten to do that and would probably have to fly somewhere. Kansas City just doesn't have fashion bloggers over 50. I hope you get to do that again.
