My Abstract/patchword Dress.

Morning, how are you?

I'm still away on my holiday to Abu Dhabi, but when I'm home I'll have lots to share with you about my experience in this enigmatic city.  But until then let me show a recent addition to my dress selection.

Whilst out shopping with a friend I found this patchwork dress in TK Maxx,  not only patchwork but it has an interesting abstract design in the pattern as well.  We'd gone out to look for outfits to take on holiday, but I came home with this!  Well in my defence my friend spotted it and suggested I try it on.  It wouldn't have been my first choice, but once I caught my refection in the fitting room mirror I rather liked what I saw, something out of the ordinary for me so I changed my mind & the deal was sealed!

The style is well-suited to my figure, with the ruched detailing across the tummy area, a good cover-up.  The faux wrap effect at the front is very flattering & I don't need to worry about any unwanted leg flashings.  I love the 3/4 length sleeves, much better for the colder weather, so overall a stylish and classic dress

I can change the look with a jumper, cardigan or wrap.  We all need an outfit that can morph into another style don't we?  I'll be doing another post about just that in the next few weeks, hope you'll look out for it.

Always nice when your photographer god-daughter has the perfect coat to compliment the colours in your dress, and just so happens to match my favourite footwear!

Teamed with my Happiness Boutique necklace, I think it's the perfect match.  The blue in the dress complementing the pretty blue stones in my necklace.  Sublime.

Love these shots, it was really cold the day we trekked up the hill to take them.  But what a stunning backdrop, the fields looking like patchwork leading onto the estuary.  Complimentary to my dress or what?

Esther Ruby thanks so much for taking these photos for me. X
Thanks so much for stopping by today.

Catch you next week - Bye bye.

  1. Oh what a fun printed dress! I wish I could wear faux wrap styles - being petite they never fit me right. I have much better luck with traditional wrap dresses :)

Hope you had a good weekend, and you got some bargains in the sales. I did some Christmas shopping last week but I haven't bought anything in the sales yet.
