Hi there how did your Christmas celebrations go?
It seems I've been away from blogging for ages, I've been so caught up in present buying, preparing and celebrating I've not had much time for blogging!
Back to normal now, just the NYE celebrations to enjoy then it's back to the grindstone. I've got lots I want to do next year with my blog and hope to throw my all into achieving some new goals.
As I sit here full up with everything I eaten i'm wondering if I'll fit into any of my presents.
With the abundance of delicious food that's been around over the past couple of days I find it so hard to say NO! So next week I'll be hitting the gym hard to try and lose the gained pounds before my skiing holiday at the end of January.
What with one thing and another I missed out on my December Style Steal, but it's back today for the last time this year. I haven't had time to study as many blogs as I would have liked so no 'Style Steal' caught my eye this month. I did see a cute outfit that a talk show celebrity was wearing some weeks ago, and managed to drop enough hints to receive a fabulous Christmas present 'copy' for myself.

T'was the night before Christmas - Looking forward to my gravy!
Evening fellow over fifty bloggers.
Well if it's not been bought, made or wrapped by now it's too bad! I'm too late!
I do hope you're all ready to start your celebrations. My turkey is already to go into the oven in the early hours so that when I get up my nostrils are filled with the delightful smell of cooked turkey. The pate is made & chilling in the fridge, red cabbage is ready and waiting to be heated - while the beers and prosecco are already nicely chilled in the cooler, but most importantly the stock has been cooked ready to make the gravy - eek the gravy I can't wait. Phew I've made it to the finish line!
I'd just like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas. May I suggest you eat, drink and be merry amongst your family and friends. I'm really looking forward to seeing all your blog posts in the coming weeks to see how your day went.

Sunday Funday on the RHDR - choo choo!!
Morning - are you excited? only 4 more sleeps till the arrival of Father Christmas!!
Let's hope I get everything sorted for a silky smooth-running Christmas Day. I simply adore the main event, but really like Boxing day too - it's so much more relaxed and chilled. All the stress of making sure everyone has got what they want, dinner is cooked on time and I've not forgotten anything! So boxing day I can relax, unwind & enjoy the presents, company and what's on telly without any arguments!
Last Sunday I had an exciting day out. After an evening at a surprise party it was nice not to have to get up and cook a roast dinner! So a day out with nearly all the family was just what I did. My daughter had arranged dinner in a pub en route to Hythe. I'd booked the annual Santa Special on the Romney, Hythe & Dymchurch Railway, a lovely family trip that all ages would enjoy. Along with hubby I was accompanied by both grandchildren, daughters, SIL and son - although my prince is still too young to appreciate the visit, my little princess adored it. She met Santa, rode on the 15" gauge miniature steam train, visited the model railway (she loved pushing the various buttons to start and stop trains, along with lighting some buildings) grand finale was real snow being sprayed - everyone looked really cute with snow in their hair!

5Over 5O - Sequins and Christmas Jumpers.
Hello and welcome to MummaBstylish, I'm so pleased you could stop by today.
Finally time for the ladies at 5Over 50 to attack the last challenge of the year. We've taken on hats, orange, lace & metallics to name but a few. All have been faced with great enthusiasm, gusto and some trepidation, but the outcome has proved first class for all of us.
The December challenge was set by Laurie.
The obvious task for the month of December festive jumpers!
Are you a Christmas jumper wearer? Actually I'm not! I don't know how I missed out on this tradition, maybe because I haven't been at work for years, and it's not something me or my family do.
That being said I still wanted to join in the fun, but with my kind of twist on it.
I've managed to borrow a jumper and bought a stunning little Christmas brooch to make it just a bit more festive. So I hope I've managed to pull this one off - do I look suitable Christmassay?
My daughter supplied the gold sequined sweater which I've matched with my pleated gold skirt. I do love a bit of bling and it proved to be a winner for the challenge. You can see what else it goes with over on my previous post Styled with tassel boots.
The gold jumper is covered in sequins giving a shiny finish, jazzing an otherwise plain jumper. This belongs to my daughter, and I'm chuffed that I fitted into it!

Sharing my dress from Abu Dhabi.
Hello there, thanks for stopping by I really appreciate it as I know how busy you all are. X
Up to my eye balls in present buying & wrapping, along with a couple of lunches and coffee's with friends. Are you all done yet? No me neither, but hey ho we've still got over a week to get everything in order. (she says through gritted teeth and panicked eyes!)
Hope you saw my Christmas Tag on Monday, that was fun to join in with. If you missed it catch it again here.
Seem to be running around in circles over the past couple of days. Never actually getting anywhere!
Oh well that's part and parcel to the build up for my Christmas and I'm sure many of yours too.
So this morning I was up and out early to take some photos, okay it wasn't that early if my hubby is reading, but early for me lol!

Things I love about the festive season .... The Christmas Tag!
Hi there.
Rather a different post for my today, you see I've been tagged in a Christmas themed Tag.
This is the first time I've ever been personally earmarked for a challenge like this, so I'm looking forward to tackling it.
My blogger friend Claire from I wasn't expecting that! tagged me a few days ago & jumping at the task I set to work ....
For someone who loves every aspect of Christmas this is easy peasy!!
So let's get started.

Reliving Adu Dhabi.
Hi there - how are you?
How's the Christmas shopping going? Is your house bedecked with decorations? Yes mine is and I adore seeing the house festooned and looking all Christmassy.
If you've been watching me on Instagram you'll see I've just returned from a week in Abu Dhabi to watch the Grand Prix.
I had made a start on my gift buying before I went on holiday, but now home I'll be tackling the job full on, aiming to get all the presents within the next week - ha ha, who am I kidding? I'll still be running around on Christmas Eve buying last minute gifts & wrapping them whilst stuffing the turkey and making pate! 😁
We flew with a wonderful airline that I knew nothing about. Etihad Airways have got long haul flights sorted. With a speedy on line check-in meaning you only have to drop your bag and go.
The usual security checks completed we were now free to start enjoying ourselves. Into the bar for a bite to eat and drink. Followed by a quick wiz around a couple of shops for last minute goodies!
I had been a little nervous about the time of the flight, having only been on one long distance flight many years ago, but I need not have concerned myself the flight was a breeze! Drinks served and dinner eaten I settled down to watch the in-flight films. I was rather taken by the camera views - watching take off and landing, along with all the details of the flight!
Arriving at the Intercontinental Hotel, I couldn't get enough of the opulence and beauty. Enormous Chandeliers, beautiful couches, grand piano and an aroma to die for! Whisked away to our room on the 7th floor, I was wide awake and wanting to see more!

Back to reality.
Hello there, I'm back and raring to go.
December already and it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!
Full steam ahead for present buying, card writing, food shopping and partying! How's your preparations going?
What a fantastic time I've had in Abu Dhabi, I'll be featuring this in a blog post within the next few weeks.
Sharing today one of the dresses that accompanied me on my holiday.
This Asos Warehouse dress has a Swirl print, & is a midi length AND it's now in the sale for under £35. Not my first choice as it wasn't my favourite, it was my daughter's pick which, once on, actually turned out to be my personal best, getting a big thumbs up for the unusual style and design, making it a real statement dress.
A partially lined dress with a one side off the shoulder detail, with a drawstring waist and striking tie sleeves this dress is just that little bit out of the ordinary!
I've fallen for not only the style, but the colours as well. Navy blue and yellow are great colour matches. I've worn plenty of outfits with these hues, you can see Mustard and jeans & Mustard dress with blue scarf are two options.
My Asos dress ended up being the perfect holiday dress and went down a treat on my visit to Abu Dhabi last week.

Somewhere over the Rainbow.
Hi there, hope you are well.
I'm travelling home today so I'm somewhere over the Rainbow! Not sure I'm going to be a happy over fifty fashion blogger tomorrow!
How exciting to find something hidden away that you'd forgotten about? Not that this happens very often but it did a couple of weeks ago.
Technically I'd not forgotten, but my eldest daughter had!
You see we'd been clearing out our garage to make room for some gym equipment. SIL, me and two daughters cleared and sorted the various boxes and bags, with me having a trip down memory lane again looking through old photos, books and other knick-knacks that had beenhoarded stored there.
Eventually my eldest daughter came across these Rainbow shoes, having worn them once she found them completely pristine in their box. She didn't want them so I jumped on them straight away - I'd got designs on these rainbow shoes.

My Abstract/patchword Dress.
Morning, how are you?
I'm still away on my holiday to Abu Dhabi, but when I'm home I'll have lots to share with you about my experience in this enigmatic city. But until then let me show a recent addition to my dress selection.
Whilst out shopping with a friend I found this patchwork dress in TK Maxx, not only patchwork but it has an interesting abstract design in the pattern as well. We'd gone out to look for outfits to take on holiday, but I came home with this! Well in my defence my friend spotted it and suggested I try it on. It wouldn't have been my first choice, but once I caught my refection in the fitting room mirror I rather liked what I saw, something out of the ordinary for me so I changed my mind & the deal was sealed!

Pleated skirt with tassel boots!
Hiya or should I say ma' a as-salama.
As we "speak" you'll find this over fifty fashion blogger is on her way to Abu Dhabi to watch the final Grand Prix of the year. I've been feeling both excited and nervous to visit this mysterious place, eager to find out for myself just what it's really like. I've packed a collection of clothes that hopefully will be suitable for this Arabian city.
So as I'm off on my hols' I'm sharing a purchase I found in the M & S sale some weeks ago....

MummaB - Style Steal.
Hi there, are you ready for another Style Steal?
I really hope you've been tuning into my monthly over fifty Style Steal, there's some great bloggers out there and I'm only too pleased to share them with you - maybe giving you some inspiration of styles you can duplicate.
You can view the past months offerings here:
October featuring Nancy,
September featuring Emma,
August featuring Rachel
July featuring Catherine.
Then let's wait no longer, here's November's number.
As soon as I saw this outfit I knew it was my sort of thing. I really wanted to find something similar, so set about finding my 'steal'. Only having two of the items in my wardrobe I had to search for the main attraction and search I did. It didn't take me long to find a near copy of this Target jumpsuit.

Throw back Thursday - Sharing my Dresses.
Morning, how are you?
All good here with this over fifty fashion blogger. Getting prepared for my week away, so trying (not very well) to get on top of the washing and ironing. Sorting out what to take, what I need and what frivolous additions I can get away with (baggage weight and space permitting)!
I know to add a couple of pashminas or scarfs - they seem to be top of the list for being respectful, plus a couple of swimsuits, shorts and tops, oh and a few dresses & jumpsuits then the rest will have to follow as I start packing.
So I thought I'd take you on a little trip down memory lane to visit some of my favourite outfits from the past few months.

Peep toe booties.
Hi there, how are all the over fifty fashion bloggers (and everyone else) on this Monday morning?
Such fun evening on Saturday night, I had my prince and princess for the night! All went well and considering they don't stay very often they were both brilliant. I managed to watch my favourite Strictly Come Dancing, with a take away and one Gin & Tonic - yes only One wasn't I good? Sorry to say the same can't be said about the curry, it seems new owners taken over our local restaurant without any notice, I hasten to add it was awful!
Number one priority for next week - find a new one!!
Sunday was another busy day with a few of the children, plus my cuties, for a Sunday Roast Beef dinner with all the trimmings - finally settling down to a little nap and the results of #SCD - bliss. X
Do you remember me going on and on about peep toe boots? Well you might have seen that I did find a pair from JD Williams so since then have been wearing them on and off whenever the weather has been amicable.
I figured they'd look super with any number of outfits, so today I thought I share the jeans and jumper option.

Hello lovelies, hope you are all well.
You may remember a few weeks ago I shared my Rosegal wish list with you, & here's two super stylish dresses that I'm pleased to show you in full.
Did you catch my post on Monday? It was the monthly 5Over50 challenge featuring boots. You can find out all about how 5 over fifty bloggers took a walk on the wild side with our Boots that were made for Walking.

5Over 50 - These boots were made for walking.
Hi there - so pleased you could stop by.
Today is the November 5Over50 style challenge.
I hope you've been watching the previous months, but if not here's a link to check Last months here.
Today's task was set by Anna - see her blog right here. I had the pleasure of meeting up with
Anna & Gail from the 5Over50 Group, you can see our meeting on the London Eye.
I've got endless ankle boots that would fit the purpose beautifully, but alas not many knee high boots! The reason being my rather large calves! I struggle to find boots that will fit my ample legs, so with plenty of searching both on line and in the stores I'm sad to say I came up with big fat zero!
After telling you all on my Lotus blog post that my ankle boot collection was complete - I've bought another pair, opps! These will look charming in the challenge, so by the time I got to the till, my outfit was chosen in my head! No more strolling round the shops or ambling up and down the high street - my quest for boots was over.

My purchase from Venice.
Hello, glad to welcome you to my blog.
Hope you've had a fun filled week. Was it too scary? Did you have many 'Trick or Treaters'?
I'm sad to admit we had no scary costumed children trick or treating at our door, despite having plenty of treats to exude, nothing happened. No knocks, no tricks and no scares! It wasn't until speaking to my daughter yesterday morning, she told me if I didn't have a carved pumpkin or scary Halloween paraphernalia dangling around our house, most children wont knock! I hotfooted it up to my friend-with-young-children's house and gave them the sweets we'd been saving for them, apologising for the dark, undecorated and uninviting house they'd neglected (for obvious reasons) to visit. Must try harder next year!
I've just about got over my excitement of meeting my fellow over fifties bloggers and hope you managed to catch my blog post on Monday explaining my day.

Meeting blogging friends in London.
Good Morning, how's your weekend been?
It's the last birthday today after a row of them in the MummaB circle.
Have you remembered what I was doing at the weekend? Yes my mum's birthday celebrations and a meeting with two ladies from the 5 Over 50 Collection. I had the pleasure of spending a few hours with Gail from Is this mutton , Anna from Anna's Island Style I also Annemarie from Mutton Years Style and I came along too. I can't believe we actually did meet up, but we did & it was wonderful to get together with these inspiring ladies - finding out much more about them that you can't get from just reading a blog!
Here's what I wore to meet the ladies, I was all over the place with my choice of look, should I wear jeans? - too casual, a dress? too cold and dressy, leggings? not my best first meeting look either! Well I shouldn't have worried at all because we all had a mixture of looks and all the ladies looked fabulous in the style choices.

Lotus court shoes, with Lemon and Grey.
Hello - how's you week going?
Plenty going on this week for me with three birthday celebrations all in a row! Birthdays are like buses in my household, none for months then an abundance to celebrate.
I'm also really excited for Saturday to arrive, apart from it being my mum's birthday I'm going to meet two blogging friends in REAL LIFE!! I know calm down, calm down, but I feel it will be like meeting celebrities!! Well in my blogging sphere they are. I'll fill you in next week just who I'm getting together with, so hope you'll pop back to see.
You, like me may get plenty of ideas of outfits from fellow bloggers - am I right? Yes I thought so, anyhow I've been inspired by a blogger but can't for the life of me remember which lady it is!!! So instead of featuring her on my Style Steal I'll just get right on and show my copy, & in my head I'll give a private nod of thanks to my fellow blogger.

Opal Fruits, Polos and a bottle of Coke.
Hi there.
How're you bloggers doing?
I'm sure you're a little confused by my title "Opal Fruits, Polos & a bottle of Coke"- let me explain ...
With Halloween fast approaching the witching hour will soon be upon us. Plenty of you will be scurrying around frantically getting bits and pieces together for the all important Halloween outfit. I'm actually getting involved after way too many years of abstinence, no not because I haven't wanted to get dressed up, actually never having a party to go to! Esther Ruby changed that for me when she came up with the plan of having her party with a Halloween theme. I jumped at the chance of dressing up, eager to have some scary make-up added to an equally scary outfit. Okay I'm not looking that scary, but you get the gist!

Lotus Chelsea boots for Autumn.
Hi there, how are you lovelies doing?
Looking for fashion inspiration for the over fifties? (or younger - everyone is welcome.) you've come to the right place.
All good here with MummaB, settling nicely into Autumn, but I still haven't managed to sort and organise my wardrobe - slapped wrist for me!
I have managed to work out exactly what I need to .... dare I say it .... complete my Autumn wardrobe! There I've said it but don't tell hubby! Lol. There's literally a handful of items I need to make my wardrobe work though-out the coming months, yes until the next change of season - no not Spring I mean Winter, ha ha ha!!
So apart for the knee length boots I'm STILL after I don't actually need ANY boots to complete my collection, well that is until I see another pair that I simply HAVE to have.😉
Here's where the latest have to have boots make an appearance!
Having worked with Lotus Shoes* in the past, I figured these striking boots would be well merited in my boot collection. Wearing them today I'm feeling even more chuffed with my choice. I've always loved a Chelsea boot and these are no exception. Smitten by the shiny silver Chelsea boots,* bowled over by the block heal, quite simply I love everything about these dreamy but dramatic boots.
Items marked with * have been gifted to me, however these are 100% my own honest comments.

MummaB - Style Steal.
Hi there, welcome to my blog.
Today I'm sharing another style steal.
With so much inspiration on the blogs I follow, back in August I decided to copy a look from another fashion blogger who's style I admired immensely, this has led to a monthly posting of copies from other inspiring ladies.
So without further ado here's my steal for October!
Meet Nancy, her blog about women's fashion centres around her style, fashion and lifestyle in the Netherlands.

Floral for Autumn - why not!
Hello there, thanks for visiting today.
Last week my daughter decided to clear out her wardrobe. So she scattered all the clothes over her bed, on the chest of drawers & also on the floor & set about going through them. Managing to create some three or so bags for the charity shop and one for the bin!
This is something I need to do, but I keep putting it off! I will psych myself up and try to address this soon! Pinky promise!!!
Anyway, whilst my daughter was reorganising her wardrobe I spotted a jacket lurking under the charity pile. Pulling it from it's slumber from under the huge pile I asked about it. She explained it was a jacket she had bought some months earlier, but hadn't checked the size It must run in the family It was on the wrong hangar, so she bought the wrong size!
Silver lining... I benefited from her loss and nabbed a freebie for myself! I must add she's only gone and done it again a few weeks ago and guess what? I got another give-away jacket - read about that in a future post I'll be sharing. X

RoseGal Wish List.
Hi there, how it's going?
Rosegal my wish list.
Sharing with you today my wish list from Rosegal and their fabulous selection of dresses and blazers.
Read on to find more information about my list.
Well and truly into Autumn now, so the Summer wardrobe is taking a nap, although I am taking a break in November to watch the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix (more about that in the future). Therefore a few items will be getting an airing & seeing the light of day again - albeit only for a week!
I've been buying a few more garments for my Autumnal wardrobe recently, these include something I've been seeking for ages. Peep toe boots have been on the top of my wish list, but until last week I had no luck with finding the right style and colour. I happened to be looking for long boots and by chance came across these beauties on the J D Williams site. The perfect colour - tan, the right style - not a boot, however not totally a shoe. The heel height just ideal for an everyday run around, I've worn these twice already, feeling rather pleased that I've found them.

5Over5O - A woman wears many hats!
Hello, thanks for stopping by today.
You found me styling the latest edition of the 5 Over 50 challenge. Set by Gail from Is this Mutton? who just so happens to be the lady who bought us all together.
If you haven't seen our previous challenges you can view what five over fifty fashion bloggers styled here, here, here, here & here.
A women wears many hats!
How true is that statement?
This task, as with some of the other challenges had me on a stumbling block.
Upon a little brain crashing I realised this subject had a double meaning!
Actually this woman wears many metaphorical hats! Although owning hardly any!!
When the children were much younger I had many hats to wear including wife, mother, nurse, taxi driver, gardener, children's entertainer, cleaner and chef! (I bet that rings true with plenty of you). Now-a-days I'm still as busy but with some different hats added and some taken away. All of these have enriched my life in so many ways, but there's still so much more to learn and enjoy.
So now the hats I wear are a wife, PA to hubby, cleaner, chef, mother, daughter, gardener, dog walker and occasional taxi driver, however much more importantly blogger, shopper & Nanny💗 need to be added to the list and I particularly love these 'hats'. 🎩👒
So my style today obviously includes a hat, but not my hat as I don't own any like this - my only offering would be a grey pull on beret, oh or a ski helmet - not sure that would look right with my dress, ha ha!
This gorgeous burgundy floppy felt hat belongs to my trusty photographer Esther Ruby. I knew she had a couple that would be perfect for the outfit I'd imagined so asked if she could bring them along for the shoot - voila here's the result.
Picking up a pattern fusing habit from Anna - she's the queen of mixing it up, and I hope she's impressed with my offering. This is a trend that is totally alien to me, I've been taking baby steps to try and get into my groove with blending designs. I'm still not over confident with the abstract pattern of my dress fusing with the snakeskin bag.
Don't they conflict with each other rather than merge?
Having owned the dress for years, it's something that comes out every once in a while and serves a purpose. I'm normally very precise about what I like and don't like with clothes, but by contrast I'm very in-different about this casual jersey dress, I neither love this or hate it! I feel it could be slightly longer, but on this occasion I'm swayed by the colours and front pockets - so for now it's getting a thumbs up from me.👍

Let's see how my four other friends got on with this challenge.
Over to Gail the founder of 5Over50.
You can find her here IsThis Mutton?
We've obviously got the same mind set because we're wearing similar colour and style hats.
I love your red accessories Gail, especially those boots reflecting that fabulous backdrop of hanging red ivy.
Laurie can be found at Vanity and Me Style.
What a perfect jumpsuit Laurie is wearing, the two tone trilby compliments her accessories wonderfully well, and you're going shine under the golden glow of the lamplight Laurie - glorious!
Next here's Hilda from Over the Hilda.
She is sharing her stunning made-to-measure Anthony Peto hat. How marvellous is this leopard print boater, Hilda you've made a stunning statement with the hat and your super stylish coat - I feel red coats are the way forward this season, so Hilda you're spot on with yours.
Finally Anna from Anna's Island Style.
Sharing not only her style, but some artwork and stunning surroundings too!
Looking cheeky in this blue outfit, & with that cute bowler hat Anna we're seeing your original off-beat style that you create so well.
The links for these bloggers are listed above, so I hope you'll be visiting for more ideas.
Glad you could catch our fifth instalment and hope you'll get plenty of musings from me and my blogger friends. Let us know what styles you've been inspired by & maybe leave a link to a photo!!! 😁
Thank you Esther Ruby for producing such stunning photos again. x
Thanks so much for stopping by, I'd love to hear a comment from you.
Bye for now. X

JJ's Occasion Dress - Pink to make the boys wink!
Hi there lovelies, hope your week is going well.
What have you been up to?
A quiet weekend with a quieter week so far - sometimes it's nice to have some downtime don't you think? Having had such a busy summer it's nice to relax & unwind a little.
Although no weekend breaks in the foreseeable future, for me there is a spate of birthdays in the next couple of months starting Friday! so I'll soon be a busy bee again!
We all attend weddings throughout the year and that means we always need a new outfit to wear (well I do!!). Catch when I wore my Jacques Vert pale blue lace dress back in August.
I was recently contacted by JJ's House asking if I'd like to pick an outfit from their extensive collection of wedding dresses, formal gowns, party dresses, mother of the bride dresses and prom outfits.
I had a super time musing over their huge collection and settled on this stunning fuchsia pink two piece.
The website has so many different dresses that would be great for plenty of occasions. I was spoilt for choice with not only styles, but colour options too!
I settled on this luxurious scoop neck column dress. It has a knee length finish in a slightly stretchy taffeta material that gives such a flatteringly smooth finish. The beads across the middle cumberbund give a polished & impressive feel to the dress, & who doesn't love a little bit of sparkle?
With over 15 colours to chose from it can prove to be rather daunting, however you can see the exact possibilities throughout the website - my fuchsia pink was spot on.
I chose a dress with a jacket,* I prefer to have a short bolero style jacket for a special occasion, it makes the look a whole lot more finished. This bolero has three quarter length sleeves with cute little turn ups portraying both elegance & sophistication, also a great cover-up for my upper arms. (until I've had a couple of drinks and then probably won't care!!)😂
The lace matches perfectly with the rest of the dress and has a boned detail within the bodice giving support were it's needed.
JJ's House have a sizing chart & short video, so you can be sure to order the right size.
I have to add I sized up as I was worried about the fit, when I received the dress I found it had, as previously stated, some stretch within it so my normal size would have fitted perfectly.
I'm very happy with the look and feel of the dress & jacket having earmarked it for a wedding next year! Not mother of the bride I hasten to add! It will be hanging in the wardrobe waiting to be worn. Love a bit of forward planning!!✔
Having often seen on line shops selling dresses like this I've always hesitated to go through with an order, but to have a dress of this quality for just under £120 - I'd be more than happy to purchase another outfit from JJ's House for a special event in the future.
I didn't see anyone winking at me when having these photos taken, I did however have a man comment how lovely the colour of my dress was! 😉
Photos care of Esther Ruby. Thanks Hun. 💋
Hope you'll be stopping by on Monday - you won't want to miss the next issue of the 5Over50 challenge.
Have a super weekend people. x

Another way with tan trousers.
Hi there, hope all is well with you.
Well the weather is getting cooler, kids have returned to school (not Mine Obviously), Christmas cards are in the shops (well some of them) and that can only mean one thing .....
No not Autumn arriving! I mean it's time for Strictly Come Dancing to return to our Saturday night viewing - hurrah. X
I've had a wonderful weekend - and my Saturday nights are seriously back on track - Yay! Strictly Come Dancing has returned with all the glitz, glamour and spray tans you could want - so along with a take-out curry and bottle of wine it's making my Saturday nights very hard to do anything else other than sit on the sofa and watch telly! Exciting night for an over fifty fashion blogger eh??
Isn't it great when you find a garment that you know will be a wardrobe staple? Something that's always there to fall back on when you've run out of options. I've got just that with these peg style tan trousers I bought a few weeks ago. Already getting my monies worth from this £15 pair of trousers, I've worn them about five times already, value for money I'd say!
Here's two other colours I've worn them with already - catch them here and here.
Tan and pink are a good match I think, confirming this only too well was the outfit I wore the other day.
Having found this flattering half blouson effect blouse in Primark a few seasons ago. I had this top in mind when I bought these trousers - I thought they'd go well together, and go well they have!
I paired my tan block healed courts shoes with this outfit, along with my faux suede clutch bag. A cream bag goes with just about everything. I'm sure every over fifty lady has at least one in her bag collection!
We took photos in a local boat yard, having only recently found out about this place. However It makes a fabulous backdrop for photos. Are there places near where you live that you've never ever been too and suddenly find out about them?
Trousers from Apricot
Blouse from Primark
Shoes from Debenhams.
Glad you could pop over today, I do hope you'll stop by again.
Hugs to Esther Ruby for taking today's photos.
If you'd like to see the next 5Over50 challenge there'll be a new one on Monday. Hope you can visit my blog to see what we're styling.
Cheerio for now... X
