I heard it said many times before that 'blue and green should never be seen'! After seeing other bloggers addressing this issue & subsequently poo pooing the idea - because actually it worked and looks great too! So I've tried these colours together and really like the outcome. To think all those years I've avoided pairing them - shame!
Needing a blouse to take away skiing, I picked up this charming stripy top in Primark recently. I hadn't got any further thoughts for it other than wearing it with jeans. That was until I got home,
then I realised it would be fabulous worn over my khaki peg trousers previously seen on my Style Steal and two ways with my khaki trousers.
Having got both khaki and mustard strips over the blouse, this could match loads of bottoms as well as jeans. However the best bit about my new addition is the deliciously voluminous sleeves, half blouson effect from the elbow finishing at the wrist with a cuff and button-hole detail - much better for eating in if I'm honest - nothing to drag in my dinner.
First showing of my delightfully comfortable Clarks Chelsea boots that my son gave me for Christmas, he was totally spot on with his choice, getting exactly what I wanted - he, he, he - to be honest I picked them, so he had to get it right really! 😀
Navy boots were absent from my collection & have made a pleasant addition to it. Not only mixing with so many outfits in my wardrobe but also very agreeable to my feet!
Again I borrowed Esther Ruby's coat, because it's the ideal colour to compliment today's outfit and kept me warm as toast when we took the photos! I could also have chosen my navy blue reefer jacket or possibly a camel toned coat, both would work superbly well - I might have to give them a try. What would you pair with this?
Trousers from Dorothy Perkins
Blouse from Primark
Boots from Clarks
Coat from River Island - belongs to Esther Ruby.
Now do you follow the myth that blue and green shouldn't be seen, or would you wear these colours together? Let me know what you think.
Thanks for stopping in on my blog today, hope you'll follow my skiing antics on IG - it going to be fun!
See you on Monday, when you'll be seeing a sad MummaB, you see I'll have returned from the slopes and will be back to reality! Boo!
Bye, bye for now. X

Too kind Jess, glad you agree with me. It's such a cute blouse isn't it! x
DeleteI remember my nan saying that about blue and green but I think they look great together. It was once a no-no to wear pink with red - another of my favourite colour pairings! I love your blouse, the sleeves are fab. The mix of colours gives you plenty of options too - I think a navy peacoat would look great...when the weather isn't so cold! Thanks for linking up!
