I'm settled right in at the moment - into skiing lol. Finally after waiting all year I can relax and enjoy my time away, just kidding I'm probably knackered & facing a gruelling day on the slopes. Looking forward to pit stops for hot chocolate with Brandy & a slice of pizza or a burger & fries.
Actually I love this energetic pastime, it's a laid-back type of holiday where you don't have to dress up and look immaculate. However at the end of the day I still like to put on a pretty top and some make-up! 😊 Please check out my IG to follow what I'm up to.
Having settled down after a hectic festive period I've had a chance to check out all your amazing blogs. Wow what a great read you've given me. I've gained plenty of inspiration from you all & honed in on lovely Mary from The Pouting Pensioner so it's now time for this months Style Steal.
Mary has fallen head over heels for her faux leather leggings, wearing them quite a lot over the festive period & I'm sure plenty of days this month too. I have fallen for her whole outfit. One slight alteration for me being burgundy straight leg trousers, mainly because I had them in my wardrobe.
I searched the shops and websites for a cowl neck jumper and thought I'd come up smelling of roses when I found a perfect copy in New Look - but unfortunately 'out of stock' screamed back at me so I carried on looking! I eventually found this chunky jumper in George for just under £20, I think it's worked a treat.
I tweaked my outfit with a necklace instead of Mary's attractive 'zig zag' brooch. Feeling my jumper's neckline deserved a plunge drop necklace - so I opted for my gold twist tassel version that I picked up a few months ago. I think it's worked very well with my Magenta monochromatic 'copy', what do you think? Have I stolen well?
Until I saw the photos I thought that hat worked a treat! Now seeing the evidence Bill and Ben come to mind (only people of a certain age will understand this - but they were flower pot men - enough said ha ha!!)
Trousers previous season from Matalan,
Jumper from George
Necklace from Matalan
Boots from F & F
Glad you stopped over today, hope you'll pop back on Thursday to check out the outfit I'll be sharing, I'll be tackling the old myth that Blue and Green should never be seen!
Until then it's been fabulous.

I'm in good company Kelsey, it's perfect for the winter isn't it. Thanks for stopping by. x
DeleteWhat a fabulous steal, so flattered. Love your choices and I'm so impressed you copied the look through to the taupe boots, most thorough! I think the hat suits you perfectly. Nothing Bill, Ben or Little Weed do I see! I think you'll find that outfit so useful - I'm having trouble kicking my berry jeggings habit, I can tell you! Wishing you a happy ski, I'm hearing the French snow is brilliant this year. Hugs, x.
ReplyDeleteLOL you don't look like Bill & Ben! When it's chilly you need a warm hat anyway. You look great. I love that burgundy colour on you <3

ReplyDeleteMany thanks Laurie - too kind, glad you like it. x
DeleteOh dear, this is awful, my comment written shortly after you posted is lost forever in the ether. Such a shame because I was so immediately flattered that you stole the look, one of my top faves of late. I love the post. You've done so well sourcing the pieces, and matching jumper to jeans and following through with the taupe boots. Love it all and the cute hat is definitely not flowerpot men!!! Thanks so much for stealing me, hugs, x.
ReplyDeleteGlad I have your approval, I do prefer your look though. x Have a super week my friend. x
DeleteThat's a great colour on you and the hat looks so cheeky and cute!
