Chiffon M & S blouse cream/Lilac

Hello lovelies,
How are you all?
Finally seeing some better weather is peeping it's head round the corner - yay!
Whilst out shopping a week or so ago I was looking to buy a floral dress, I ended up buying something online that I'd seen in H & M, but passed on.  You must see & like this blue dress that  I ended up buying and was a really great choice.

Anyway I digress and what I did come home with was this ....

Having always been a huge fan of chiffon tops, this pretty cream & lilac Limited Edition creation from M & S was calling me.  A timeless blouse that looks equally as appealing with jeans and boots as well as a stylish gold pleated skirt.  I'm featuring both for you today but can't really decide which outfit I prefer.

I love the ruggedness of the style balanced by the softness of the chiffon.  It feels lovely on & I can wear a cami tee shirt underneath without spoiling the overall look (for when you want to be warm, but not to spoil the outfit).
My top has a price tag of just under £30, which is probably at the top end of what I'd pay for a blouse, but considering the quality, style & usability I felt It was value for money.  I know I'm going to get plenty of wear out of it.

My first choice is casual with straight leg jeans.  It felt positively tropical today so I shed my coat and donned my middle daughter's long fur gilet instead.  I'm jesting now it wasn't really warm enough to venture too far without a warm coat, so this was just for the shots this morning.
I've got my eyes firmly on a pair of white ankle boots from Next for Mother's Day (cough cough), so opted for the next best thing in my boot collection. You may have seen these tassel boots once or twice  numerous times on the blog, but they are just so bloomin' cute.   Sorry I haven't got a close up photo, but you can catch more of them here.

Onto my smarter going out look.  I recently wore this out for dinner with friends, feeling it was glam enough for the dinner party.  I would also wear this our for lunch or shopping, without feeling too over-the-top.  I've worn the gold pleated skirt quite a few times since I bought it, but reckon it will get much more wear come the summer months. See it here with my tassel boots.
What do you think I could pair it with?

Cream court shoes along with my favourite rain mac completed this look today.  The single string of pearls around my neck gave the outfit a dainty soft feel.

Thanks so much for visiting today, why not subscribe to my blog so you can catch every post.
Much appreciated. Mwahh. X

See you bright and early on Thursday.
Until then Bye, bye. X

  6. It's not a colour combination I would wear myself (bolder colours seem to look better with my skin tone) but it looks fabulous on you, Jacqui!
