Pretty in Pastel Pink. Co-host on TFF

Hello - how are you?
Welcome to my 300th blog post!  How did that happen? Although it's been taxing at times, I've actually loved every minute of it, here's to the next 300!!

Finally feeling back to normal and ready to embrace Spring - please *drumbs fingers on table* please!
Have you been buying for the next season?  Let me know what you've bought, I'd love to hear.

Today you've found me co-hosting on the Thursday Fashion Files with Carrie, so glad you could join me, there'll be plenty of exciting and inspiring blogs to peruse so hope you'll add your blog to the link-up then I can see yours too!  It's nice to stop by & leave a comment or two.

Today I wanted to show you my chic French jacket and belt I bought on my skiing holiday back in January.

Who doesn't love going on holiday or taking a cheeky weekend away?  Me too, I'm up there with most of you and am very fortunate to say I have normally got a break or two looming on the distance horizon.  Whilst on these holidays I like to bring home a goodie from the local shops, a goodie in the form of something to wear!  Looking back I returned with some cute, sassy and stylish garments - including this statement dress, my ruffled blouse from Venice & this delightful lace top from L'escala

On my recent skiing holiday I did a little Apres Ski Shopping - ha ha!  Although I only found out how near the shops were on my last day!  Being honest I was probably too tired to visit the shops after a days skiing.
I am glad I did eventually find the shops because I came home with this cute little French jacket and belt!  The French ladies just look so elegant and chic in nearly everything they wear, so I went all out  today to add a little 'ooh la la' to my look!

Paired with this cute jacket I wore my fabulous DIY frayed crop leg jeans.  I bought these in the M & S sale a few months ago.  Fraying them myself was so easy I just unpicked the hem and pulled the threads to the length I wanted.  Worn with my blush pink ankle boots, they make a great double act.  Catch when I wore them to London with my girls - here.

Can you see why I wanted this jacket?  The lace mesh in pastel pink, blue and grey are just so chic together.  I think the horizontal lace across the bust and around the hem & cuff are so pretty - it's so unusual & I had to have it.  Worn over a long sleeved grey tee shirt allows the soft colours to show through.  The shiny silver-grey beads have been twisted double.  Although you can't see in the photos that well, but I think the long and short neck version looked better - much more of a French feel.

I saw the belt in the window and went in for only that, hubby and I have a look around and found some stunning pieces, as you do in little French boutiques - but I settled on the super jacket.  It is also surprisingly warm too so that's a big bonus for cold old me! Lol.

My little Roxy baby wanted to get into the photo - she's obviously camera shy as she didn't show her face!

Is this something you'd buy?  Do you purchase gifts for yourself on holidays or is it just me?
Let me know what you think, I love getting a comment from you all. X

Now let's start linking up with Carrie.  Be sure to check out some of the inspiring blogs.

  6. Oh Jacqui - I LOVE that jacket! I always want to shop when we travel, I love bringing home a little something special. I traveled to France when I was in graduate school in my 20s and I had no money, I wish I could go back and shop! I did buy a jacket back then that was beautifully made - I wish I had kept it! Ugh!!! Love those boots too! You look fabulous!
