What i wore with Jacquard trousers.

Hello and welcome.

For the mums in the UK Sunday was a very special day - Mothering Sunday, I hope you were spoilt with cards, flowers, gifts, dinner and love.   You can read below what I received.  I was, as always, very spoilt!
What did you get up to over the weekend?
Well I actually didn't do much!  On Friday evening hubby and I met up with the group of friends we went to Abu Dhabi with.  We had a little reunion drink in our local pub, with a delightful meal as well.  Chatting about our previous holiday, made me want to go back!

Saturday really was a nothing day, chilling with the family, and then a take-away, finishing with a film in the evening. (Norman with Richard Gere, and it was s*@t) 😖
Sunday was a very different day - it was Mothers Day, which started early.  Catching up through-out the day with the children who each had a beautifully worded card for me.
I surprised my mum by joining her for the morning church service.  I'd done this before and feel it's a far better present then anything I could buy her, time spent together, cost's nothing, but means the world.  I have got her a joint present with my sister, but she's not getting it until we all meet up in the week!
Sunday culminated in a family meal for me, hubby and nearly all of the children in a local Tex-Mex restaurant.

So here's my OOTD ... Jacquard Trousers with ....
I bought these jacquard trousers in Matalan a couple of months ago.  I saw they had my size so tried them.  Finding the fitted me perfectly and felt great too I promptly bought them, I have numerous black trousers, but a girl can never have too many now can they? They go with so much.

This pattern matched outfit is the nearest I get to feeling totally comfortable with mixing,  the jacquard cropped trousers have the gorgeous pattern running through them, they do remind me of 70's pub wall paper but I kinda like it.  I wanted to keep the colours the same, so opted for my striking leopard court shoes, which you've seen a few times recently including my stunning blue H & M dress and here with grey and lemon
In-keeping with the B & W colour way, I picked this Aztec chiffon top that's been hanging patiently in my wardrobe. I stopped wearing it as it had become a little tight to wear!  I must have shrunk because it fits better than I thought it did - result!  I'm a big fan of wearing black and white, a dependable combination that I fall back on every once in a while.  Is this a tried and tested colour choice you wear?
Necklace choice of black beads finished off my look of the day.  Finally ready I was good to go for my Mothers Day meal.
Here's my adorable Mothers Day present from the children.  How cute are these Ivory ankle boots?  Coming from Next  these will get so much attention through-out the next few weeks and beyond - look out for them will you, I can't wait to start wearing them!

I've a huge favour to ask you ...
On Thursday I've decided to run my very own Linkup - I'm a bit nervous scared to death as to how it will go and worried if will it actually work (I'm not very computer literate).  So pretty please I'd be grateful if you'll pop over and add a blog post or two.

Watch out for #chicandstylish to make a regal entrance and not a fall-through-the-door with a bang, crash, wallop! 😁

Thanks so much you lovely people. X

Until Thursday thanks for joining me.
Bye X

  15. Love the cut and length of those trousers. We may have lots of black trousers but then along comes something with the perfect cut and they shove all lesser trousers to the back of the wardrobe! Great look. Hugs, x.
