My Lotus Nude Wedges - the perfect shoe!

Happy Easter Monday everyone.
How are you all doing?
With the weather still doing it's own thing ( it's getting boring now!)  I just had to break out a spring outfit, in hope to maybe tease the weather into changing for the better!
Having had a wet beginning to the Easter weekend I hoped for a brighter day yesterday, when I had arranged a mini Easter Egg Hunt for my little princess.  As it turned out the grass was way too wet for any fun and games so we resorted to hiding the eggs indoors.  She had a great time searching for the chocolate eggs and she ended up with some twenty odd yummy eggs in various sizes culminating in a large white chocolate bunny hiding in a cupboard!  So after a busy weekend of her first trip to the cinema to watch Peter Rabbit,  picking her own Easter egg (two really) on a shopping trip with me and grandad, finishing with the Easter Egg Hunt she really has had an egg-citing Easter! Sorry. X

Last year I styled a chambray shirt dress.  I'd wanted something in this soft denim drape for a long time, and it took quite a few shopping trips (such hard luck - lol) until I found the right one.  Pop over and see how I styled it last April with tan accessories and my basket bag.

....And here's how I wore it the other day, albeit for photos as it's still way to cold to flash that much arm and leg!!  Come the next few weeks, hopefully I be able to wear it 'for real'.
Layered over my orange M & Co dress for a contrasting look, to me it looks like a long-line jacket which will be great for spring.  I picked out the orange with a clear red string of beads.  I've had these for many years, & they mean a lot to me - a present from one of the children when they first went shopping for Christmas presents on their own - arrhh - memories.💖

Items marked with * have been gifted to me, however these are 100% my own honest comments.

So with a lighter attire I needed a softer toned shoe to wear, here's where these fetching new wedges step in (oh stop it).  When Lotus Shoes recently contacted me to select a few items, I quickly picked these out.  Lotus Shoes have a stunning collection of footwear & handbags suitable for most occasions, and having had quite a variety of their shoes, sandals, boots & bags in the past I guessed (correctly) they'd be winners.

Let me tell you a little more about these shoes.  From a choice of four colours the Nude Jelico Patent Wedge* has now been reduced to just under £40. They come in UK sizes from 3 - 8, I wear a UK 7 and they're pretty much the perfect size for me.
I've always been a big fan of wedges and the fact that they're a cork wedge well that's just chocolate pudding & chocolate custard!
Did you know that wearing nude shoes elongates the leg?  Well that's just another reason to buy buff toned shoes.

Do you wear wedges at all?  I always have one or two in my wardrobe, as they are so comfortable.  They are great to wear shopping to create a casual look, or wear them for a special day out when you might be walking on grass, nothing worse than sinking heels in soft grass! Argghh!!!
Nude shoes are a must in an over fifties shoe collection, in fact anyone's collection really!  They are a go-with-anything colour, you'll be surprised at how often you'd wear something like this.  Are you a fan of nude shoes?

Thanks to Esther Ruby for taking my photos. X

Don't forget to join me on Thursday for the #chicandstylish linkup.  I love to see what you're all doing and wearing.

Bye for now, it's been great. X

  10. The weather in KC is not too spring-y either! (Rainy, super foggy, and in the high 30s, like ugh.) I love your chambray number, babe!

  18. I have only had one pair of wedges I really liked. They had straps to go over the ankle, making them fairly easy to walk in. Yours look like they would go with everything.
