Ready for another way with my Red Pleated Skirt?

Morning everyone.
Hope you are well.
Want to know what this over fifty fashion blogger has been getting up to?  Read on to find out more.

My family are well into the season of family birthdays, we celebrated hubby's birthday on Friday, with all the family round to help us enjoy a few drinks & nibbles along with a little dancing to the jukebox (catch my weekend at a Jukebox Fair here).

Having already enjoyed four birthdays this month, and another three next month, the Mummab household is definitely in party mode!
Saturday afternoon I went for a wonderful Afternoon Tea with three friends to The Salutation in Sandwich.  They served the epitome of superior cakes, tarts, sandwiches and scones, all served with a large pot of tea, and the optional glass of fizz - well it would have been rude not to indulge in a cheeky glass wouldn't it! 😉

Personal favourites were Coronation Chicken on Rye Bread and the Mango & Coconut Panna Cotta on a White Chocolate Biscuit.

Saturday night we had the grandkids to stay, they sure do keep us on our toes and suffice to say we are well and truly out of step to look after young children!  Guess where hubby and I spent Sunday afternoon? ... yes relaxing on the sofa!! Lol

After receiving the skirt of the season for Christmas, I set about styling it in as many different ways as possible, here's two ways I've already approached my challenge: feeling Parisian & casual trainers with denim jacket.
Today I've opted for an addition of cream, it really shows off the skirt and the sunshine helped too.  Picking up the sheen beautifully.

With this cream lace top I wore a little cream camisole underneath, although I didn't need the extra layer because it was warm enough, I didn't want the lace top to be see-through!

My peachy, coral toned necklace is made from large baubles, I was a little unsure whether it would work with my red skirt, but upon reflection I think it's charming, proving you don't need to have the exact matches, just the same colour family.

Nude block heeled sandals were a joy to wear after being cooped up in boots all winter, although I do need some colour on my legs before the skirts get any shorter!  Note to self - get the fake tan out! Lol
