Last weekend I had a little break in Cornwall.  We took my mum to see her brother and have a couple of nights in the fabulous Pencubitt House, which is situated in Liskeard.  Arriving after a journey lasting roughly 7 hours (yer … I know a long journey) which included stopping for lunch, I had well and truly earned the G & T that was waiting for me!

Style Not Age - My Jumpsuit Joy!

Hi there ladies, how's May going for you?
Today It's time for May's Style not Age challenge.

I've been away in Cornwall for the weekend with my family & only just got back!  After the busy couple of weeks I've had lately it's been nice to take time away to collect my thoughts and relax a little.
The stunning Pencubitt House which is situated in Liskeard played host this weekend.  I enjoyed the surroundings of the countryside in Cornwall whilst partaking in drinking large G & T's, wine and wonderful food - well someone has to! 😉 The silence interrupted by the distant mooing of cows, the flapping and swooping of the swallows building their nests & our intermittent laughter! I'll be sharing a post about my weekend away soon, so hope you'll watch out for that one!
Back to the Style not Age Challenge ….

May's task fell into the lap of Anna.  My Jumpsuit Joy has been one of my favourite challenges so far, and I jumped in (sorry) with two feet.  I did think I'd be buying a new jumpsuit as you've seen all my collection already, here's my snakeskin choice, orange is the new black pick & finally my faux velvet style steal.

Eva Trends Lace dress, #LINKUP #chicandstylish

So pleased you've joined me today.  Along with the #chicandstylish #linkup I'm sharing my last piece I received from the vast choice at Eva Trends. Having already shown you my previous two choices Cool, crisp linen dress and throw on & go cardigan, I feel I've saved the best till last!

You all know I'm a big fan of lace having worn it umpteen times in the past see, my black lace dress, this pretty lace top from Spain, wearing pink lace for a wedding & my lace patterned skirt.
             
When this caught my eye on the screen, I didn't realise quite HOW nice it would be!  Screens never really do outfits justice do they?

Oh cheeky I'm stealing TWO Styles!

Ready for a Style Steal?  Last month I missed this feature for no reason in particular, so as soon as I spotted two of my favourite bloggers wearing this colour combination for Ada's birthday party earlier this month I knew I had to try and emulate both their styles. Yes two styles, I'm trying to make up for last months missing post!

Bright Floral Skirt + #LINKUP #chicandstylish

Today I thought a floral skirt might go down well.  I bought this from Primark a few weeks ago for only £13!!  Drawn by the bright flowery pattern I had ideas to wear it for April's Style not Age challenge, but opted for these plisse cropped trousers instead.

Eva Trends - Linen Beach Cover-up.

Hello there lovelies.  How's your month going?

Last week I shared my casual but elegant longline cardigan with you, I've still not bought anything else to 'go' with it, but have seen a pretty pleated skirt in the same colour, but don't think that will look right!  I've also seen a few cute tops that will look stunning, so watch this space!

Remember a few days ago when we had sunshine? Erm it's that big yellow ball in the sky lol 😁 Well that was probably our summer and I spent an hour or so by the beach with Esther taking photos!  This is one of my shots, what do you think?
I do hope that's not it!  I want to wear this beach cover up again and in the UK not just when I'm on my holiday!
Eva Trends have an exciting collection of tunics and dresses, & whilst scrolling through their range of linen items I was drawn to this appealing number. I remember a linen tunic cover up my friend had worn on holiday over a bikini and had liked it, so without any more musing I ordered it.

Eva Trends - Throw on & Go! #chicandstylish #LINKUP

Hello and welcome to my over fifties blog.
How've you all been?  Has the weather been kind to you?  We've had a mini heatwave here in the UK, but I wouldn't be surprised if we're back to cold weather soon - that seems to be the 'norm' atm!
After the four family birthday's of previous weeks we have a bit of a lull in the MummB household, that's until next week when there's three in a row mine, princesses then eldest son's!  Gets to be an expensive month I can tell you!  Just as well mine is first - lol 😏

Calla Shoes for Bunion Sufferers or not!

Hi there, thanks for stopping by my little blog space today.

After a lovely long bank holiday weekend that's still in full swing, I'm making the most of the decent weather & chilling with the family in the garden with a BBQ.
Saturday was also spent in the garden, grass cutting, hedge trimming, weeding and cleaning the conservatory - crikey how did that get so dirty!
Saturday night we attended a friends 65th party - surrounded by friends, plenty of fizz and a boogie to the band - yes they had a band in their kitchen!  After the late night it was nice to have a Sunday morning lie-in.  In the afternoon we met friends for a couple of drinks by the sea, finishing off the afternoon with some of the family at my daughters for a BBQ - yes two in one weekend!  This weather is really making me show off!

Can I ask you a personal question.  Are you a bunion sufferer?
