Hello lovelies and thanks for joining me today.
You've found me on the #chicandstylish #linkup, so please do join the party and link up a post or two.
Today I thought a floral skirt might go down well. I bought this from Primark a few weeks ago for only £13!! Drawn by the bright flowery pattern I had ideas to wear it for April's Style not Age challenge, but opted for these plisse cropped trousers instead.
Having never bought a skirt quite as bold as this before, because I thought they looked quite 'mumsy', silly really because I am a mum AND a nan! So I've paired it with my bright yellow silky top and white cardi. I don't think it looks mumsy at all - do you? Perhaps if I'd matched it with twin set and pearls it might have been a different story!
This week seems to have been a whirlwind, Sunday I went to my granddaughter's birthday party at a local children's play centre followed by a christening - this turned into a late night after some of the family returned to ours for night-caps, & what happens after a late night? A slow day for sure!!!!
My birthday on Tuesday was just as I thought it would be, spoilt with lovely cards, delightful messages, fabulous presents with a sprinkling of family and friends mixed up with a few drinks resulting in one rather happy, much loved & extremely humbled Mummab.
So back to the skirt, I picked out the yellow and wore this silky top that's been around for a while. I bought a handful of these tops in different colours some time back and they've proved to be valued additions in my wardrobe. It's always worth buying garments in different colours if it's something that works well - I know plenty of you do this already.
I barely needed the white cardigan when these photos were taken, seems a different story again today, I'm almost ready to put the heating on again - yes really THAT cold!
Cork wedges came out to play, they are just so comfortable I can wear them for an evening out or walking round the stores shopping. Just love finding shoes that are good for my feet.
You've seen my blue clutch bag endless times in the past, and I'm sure you'll be seeing it again in the near future - it works so well with lots of outfits. Extending the blue injection with this dainty necklace that I love, the beads are attached to very fine wire, giving the illusion they are floating around my neck.
Are you a fan of florals? They seem to return every year in one guise or another, I'm loving the big bold designs of late, they're definitely head turners.
