Best of the last six months.

Hi there lovelies.

Thanks for stopping by today.
Just back from a fabulous few days away  I feel it's going to take me a little while to get back to normal, although I'm fully refreshed as I knew I would be.  The weather in L'Escala was very favourable for me and I spent three wonderful days lounging on the beach.  This destination is more like going home rather than a holiday.  I first visited Spain way back in 1984, when three important things happened to me.   Getting engaged to my soul mate, buying our first house together and travelling abroad on holiday with my now hubby.  Plenty of things there have changed over the years, and I have some amazing memories of brilliant holidays with my family and close friends.

First day going to the beach ….

Last night in Spain - meal out selfie....

So with the blogging front lacking somewhat, I thought I'd resort to sharing my top four blog posts from the past six months.
Having been blogging twice weekly for over a year now, you can imagine there are a fair few posts to pick from.

In number one position was this outfit.  Funny to think that it actually belonged to my mum, and is quite a few years old.  That's the beauty of buying classic pieces, they don't date and always look elegant & classy.  Catch the rest of this post where I joined forces with the ladies from the Forever Fierce Collective.

A close second, which I was surprised by, was my throw on and go cardigan!  I featured this recently in May, and having not been totally happy with how I'd styled this pale green cardigan, I'm very chuffed that you all like it so much!  Hope you'll stop by again and let me know what you think.

Here's the third most popular outfit.  Again I'm really quite touched that this made it so far up the list!  My red pleated skirt got plenty of airings in the winter months & I wanted to switch it up a bit.  This worked a treat but was really quite far out of my comfort zone.  You see I'd paired it with baseball trainers and felt very trendy indeed.  My rears were laid to rest by getting lovely comments that I looked both young & cool wearing this kind of style.  I vowed to wear similar styles more often.

Fourth position has to be one of my top picks too.  My bright floral skirt is just so light and summery.  Opting for bright yellow, white and blue, using nearly all the colours of the rainbow.  There's so much scope for different looks, I might even try the aforementioned baseball trainers too!

I hope you like the best of the last six months, I'm looking forward to see what the next six months have in store for me, more importantly what styles will be prominent on the blog.

I'll see you bright and early on Thursday for another #chicandstylish #LINKUP.

Bye for now & have a super week.

  1. Liking your shorts outfit, the top is the print I'm looking for and love the flip flops. And you have the legs for those shorts, I have to wear longs, I'm afraid. Hope you're feeling well-chilled after your few days away, X
