Sunflowers with mustard culottes #LINKUP #chicandstylish

Hi there, how are you all?
I'm counting down the days till Saturday as I'm off to Ibiza.  I'm so looking forward to getting some sunshine as my tan is starting to get noticeable - well through squinty eyes, in a dark room and wearing white! 😆  No really I've been away a couple of times already & we've also had some sweltering weather recently so I've got a bit of a base!

Are you a culotte wearer?  I myself love them but have got only three pairs.  I'm needing to add to my wardrobe, but haven't found the right ones yet.  I fancy a patterned pair, either floral or maybe a stripe.  So I'll be scanning the stores next time I shop, until then I'm showing off my mustard pair that came from the sale in George - a store where you can buy a little frivolous fancy at the same time as buying your milk!

When I first wore this Sunflower Bardot top back in April, I had a inkling of another look I could create with it.  Paired with my yellow culottes. 😃
So finally I wore this outfit the other week.  Mustard yellow is so fashionable at the moment.  After seeing Amal Clooney wear her striking amber dress at The Wedding of The Year, I've noticed it everywhere! From Chanda at Birth of a Fashion Blogger to Gail from Is This Mutton both are spreading sunshine and happiness in their bright yellow outfits -  what do you think? Uplifting and cheerful - definitely.  🌞


Basket bag & cute block heeled suede Zara sandals completed the outfit, the only extra my slim green choker.  Even though the sun neglected to shine and the rain had invaded my afternoon out - the bright colours genuinely lifted my spirits, so nice to have an outfit do that.

    I'm not culotte wearer, but you're making me want to reconsider! Love the yellow and the fun top you paired them with. When I was in middle school I went to a private school that required us to wear culottes for PE, cheer and swimming. Kind of made them a big no after that...but I'm keeping an open mind! lol

    Jacqui, this is such a happy outfit, indeed! I do love all the yellows especially mustard yellow. I cannot wear the color near my face though...but I could certainly wear mustard pants or carry a mustard bag! Thanks for sharing such a cheery look and have a wonderful trip!

    loving the sunny yellow everywhere. Love your look today and yes I did invest in a pair of culottes this year. Been awhile. I remember having a grey velvet pait when I was in grade 6 lol
