Joining the stripe brigade.

Hi there, thanks for joining me on the blog today.  Mummabstylish features my style, this is what this over fifty fashion blogger likes to wear.

Being such a huge fan of culottes & crops, I simple couldn't resist these beauts I picked up in H & M a couple of weeks ago.  Having already got three pairs in my wardrobe along with numerous culotte jumpsuits, I knew I wanted to be wearing them come the colder weather.  So with the weather becoming decidedly cooler over the past week I felt the time had come to share them.

Seeing stripes everywhere at the moment I was immediately attracted to these ankle length stripy trousers.  Black and white can be so versatile, along with matching either all black or all white, there's endless colour possibilities to try.  Here's my choice of the day … a striking, citron yellow.  I wore it with a floral skirt here first.

I find wide leg crops so flattering & are great for that in between kind of weather - worn with a vest and sandals for warmer weather or boots and a jumper for cooler days.  I chose my white denim jacket along with these cute court shoes.  I can't find a word to describe them other than holey!!  I spotted these M & S shoes at the beginning of the season, but hadn't got round to buying them mainly because all I could think about was sandals.  Feeling chuffed when I found MY size in the sale last week for £10 👍

I love how the bright yellow has worked so well, it really lifts the black.  I've got another look in mind with a bright coral pink top.  Watch this space!

Struck lucky with my necklace.  Esther Ruby arrived with three that her sister-in-law didn't want, I swapped mine for this matching yellow and silver twisted beaded number - great match for the top I think.

Tying up my look with my daughter's pale yellow clutch bag - I'm ready for a cool night out with family and friends.
With the trousers costing only £20 I consider I got a bargain, especially with the amount of outfits they can create.  Maybe I'll be challenging myself to style them differently each month - Hmmm …. 💭 What do you think?
