Hiya, how's your weekend been?
Did you get up to much?
My weekend was filled with family, as usual. Looked after the grandkids on Saturday morning with nearly all the family congregating at ours in the afternoon. Saturday evening was a relaxed affair. We had a fabulous night with my sister and brother-in-law, catching up over a few drinks followed by a cheeky curry!
Sometimes a colour combination just grabs you, picks you up, shakes & wakes up your imagination and leaves you wanting more! Well that's just what happened when I saw this months stimulating Style Steal . How striking are these colours together? Vivid mustard with an equally striking cobalt blue … tempting your colour taste buds or what?
I've long been a huge fan of Emma's style, having already copied a look for a previous Style Steal when she paired intense cerise pink with black and leopard print. Her blog Style Splash features Emma wearing a vast array of styles, colours and designs. Which are always well finished, interesting and different - well worth a visit. Like me you'll probably see plenty of outfits that you'd like to copy too!
The outfit today is made up from pieces I already own, so there was no need for any shopping for this steal - boo! My mustard culottes have been around for a while and I've worn them on the blog a couple of times already matched with sunflowers & worn with polka dots. So along with the cobalt blue top that's been a firm favourite for many years (you might recall it worn with my floral skirt & over white trousers) the outfit came to life. I switched bags
Gold plunge necklace seemed to fit in nicely, similar to the one Emma is wearing and giving detail on the plain top.
Are you a follower of the culottes fashion? They're still a popular choice, so it's worth getting some in your wardrobe for the oncoming season when you can wear them over boots, with the addition of a jumper or jacket for extra warmth when the cooler weather arrives.
Cheers for visiting today, love hearing from you all too - please leave a comment as to what you're thinking of my Style Steal today.
Until the next time, have a happy week.
Bye. X

DeleteThank you so much for the feature Jacqui! I love your mustard and cobalt combination, the culottes are fab! I've been really tempted to buy some mustard culottes but I didn't think I could justify the purchase with already having the peg leg trousers. However, you've convinced me that I "need" some! Hopefully we'll be seeing lots of mustard and ochre in the shops soon when the new season stuff drops.
