Monochrome with my blue pleated skirt - #chicandstylish #linkup

Hi there, how you over fifty bloggers doing?

Do you recall I shared the fact I'd been dieting?  I've actually been on the Ketogenic Diet, now I know some of you will say it's not a good diet, but honestly it's the only one I've lost this much weight on.  It really is down to changing one's mindset.  I've been raised having carbs with every meal, sometimes carbs on carbs!  But all this stopped a few months ago and I'm really pleased with the results.  There's plenty out there on the web to point the right direction, with substitute recipes for almost everything.  This evening I had shepherds pie, the mash switched to cauliflower mash smothered with cheese.  I can still have the odd G & slimline T, and really the only things I've missed is a curry, rice & the odd prosecco!  I did have a cheat meal last Saturday and relished the takeaway I'd been hankering after.  So whilst I carry on finding these tasty meals and shed some more pounds I can feel happier & slimmer in my clothes and any that are too big I can enjoy shopping for new ones - win, win!! 😉

On Monday I featured my Style Steal, sharing a copied look from my blogging friend Anna.  Let me know what you thought of my bright version of her vibrant ensemble - I love hearing from you.
I mentioned I'd got another style waiting in the wings for my blue pleated skirt and here it is...

My monochromatic outfit was easy to style from picks in my wardrobe and fortunately the separates matched perfectly.  With the drape of the blue and white scarf I was good to go!

You've seen the skirt styled a few different ways already, it's proved an invaluable addition since I bought it from Primark a month or so ago.  It cost a mere £10, but I've heard from another blogger that it had been reduced to a shocking £5! - bargain.  This pretty cobalt blouse has made many a blog post over the years, every time I don it I love how it looks - catch some recent outfits here, here and here.

Having taken these photos a few weeks ago when the weather was much more acceptable to wear open toes.  Some nude wedges would look just as good and probably keep my toes warm too.  I've got a smart blazer to throw over this now the weather is slightly colder, but a chunky jumper will do just as good a job, so there's another two ways I could style the skirt.

The round design over the clutch bag is in harmony with the circular sleeve detail and both are balanced by the vertical strips in the skirt and my zigzag scarf.  Liking an outfit with depth and interest.

Welcome to the #chicandstylish #linkup party.

Who was last week's favourite?  Nicole from High Latitude Style confidently shared her bright and lively mauve-blue and red Calvin Klein scuba dress, complete with red bag and shoes.  She really does exude confidence and style with what she wears - and yes Nicole it was good enough for me!

  20. This color looks great on you. I hear good things about Keto diets :) and that their main purpose is to help embrace a better lifestyle, as opposed to diets that focus on weight loss. I have been curious but haven't tried one yet.

  30. 14-Day Keto Diet Meal Plan
Nothing helps you feel prepared for a big change to your diet like a good plan. Plans help you feel more in control: There is less confusion, and fewer chances to slip up, as you follow a well-laid path leading you toward your goals. Whether you're just starting on your keto journey, or you need a bit more structure in the diet you've been following for a while now, this plan is here to help put the confidence back into the next two weeks of your food choices. Many people in our keto community have shared that they find the first few weeks to be especially tough, as they adjust from their old habits to their new lifestyle. To help make that transition easier, we've created a 14-day ketogenic diet plan for you to follow along with. Our meal plan is based on the average macros of 1500 calories, so you may need to adjust slightly for your macros. The full meal plan, which includes a shopping list, is available in a PDF that you can download and print out. A word on cooking and meal preparation before we get started:
