Finally seeing the end of the tunnel with my Christmas preparations, with only 5 more sleeps I just need to get the last of the presents wrapped and get the food shopping done. How about you? All finished?
I returned home from Abu Dhabi with not one but two new pieces, you might have seen my blog relating to this classic ball covered jumper paired with floral trousers, now here's the other item I bought.
I'm a great fan of pleated skirts and have worn a variety of them over the past year - my luxurious red velvet one, this cobalt blue swishy sweetie or this cream beauty to name a few.
So I thought it was about time I added a patterned one. Step forward my new little beauty.
Not only am I sharing this graceful skirt, but a recent purchase from The-Bias-Cut pop-up shopping event I attended in November. I basically wanted everything I saw. From jackets to dresses, jumpers, bags and jewellery I didn't know what to look at first. I eventually settled on this sparkly jumper that will be perfect for the festivities and I plan to wear this outfit on Christmas day.
Let's talk about the skirt, it's pleats fit onto an elasticated waistband - making it the best choice for Christmas when my tummy maybe full from over eating all that lovely food. 😋 The sage green background is scattered with large cream flowers and tiny pink petals which make way for my ivory boots to shine through, they don't look a bit out of place in the wet dreary weather and kept me warm as toast. The skirt was long enough to wear black opaque tights underneath - glad you couldn't see them!
I balanced the look with this chunky statement necklace acquired from youngest daughter and bought from a local boutique.
The Carmel knitted jumper has a shiny thread running through the copper knit which drew me in first and when I saw the frilly cuffs I just knew it would be mine. With a plethora of jumpers and knitwear to spoil you, why not check out the site for your own Christmas treat?
What is your chosen Christmas day outfit? Do share what you are planning to wear. Don't forget to pop your apron on when cooking the dinner though - you don't what your special dress to get messed up! 😇
