We're all on the countdown to that special day, I do hope your preparations are going well. I had hoped to be finished by now, but sad to say I've still got a few presents yet to buy.
Been away for a cheeky pre-Christmas overnight stay with our four best friends. We don't need to go far to have a fantastic night out with them & honestly we don't stop laughing from the moment we meet until we say goodbye! We stayed in a very nice pub near the town and basically ate, drank and laughed, I need a week to get over it I think.
Another fun break or holiday I've been on was a recent trip to Abu Dhabi with hubby and six friends.
Having visited last year to go to the F1 race we were all eager to repeat the experience, although we didn't make the Grand Prix this time we still had a super time.
After a fabulous flight from Heathrow we arrived full of excitement and intrigue to see what out hotel was like. Since our holiday last year I wasn't concerned, I just knew it would be amazing, and amazing it was!
Here's out first impression of the 5 star beauty The Hotel Beach Rotana. Entering the lobby my eyes met the impressive foyer, the centre piece, that had a moat around it, was scattered with relaxing tables and chairs, the centre piece was a spectacular flower display, just that bit different as there was an array of perfectly positioned vases with different flowers, making one splendid vision.
We were escorted to our own private club lounge situated on the 18th floor, complete with fabulous views. We also attended happy hour for cocktails and canapes every evening which made a wonderful meeting area before moving onto our selected restaurant for our evening meal. With some 12 restaurants to chose from we appreciated the dine-around option enabling us to pick where we wanted to eat each evening. We dined in all the restaurants through-out the week, only missing out on a couple of venues. Our choices ranged from seafood, Italian, German, Indian and steak house with the buffet as a choice too! I tell you if I'd have eaten there every night I don't think I'd have fitted on the plane home!! Ha ha.
Here's the outside bar by day and night - complete with shisha pipes, for those who're asking - no I didn't try one!
You can't imagine a city beach but that's what we got, with plenty of sunbeds surrounding the beach and pools, can you guess where out beds were situated? Yes by the beach bar … oh cheeky!
I couldn't believe the rooms! Plush, big, everything you could want and a huge bathroom with both shower and jacuzzi bubble bath! I really didn't want to leave the room most days.
I didn't get many photos of my outfits and the ones I did get aren't very clear - and to be fair most you've seen before - it was a treat to wear them all again!
This off the shoulder dress was first seen when I did a u turn with this dress!
Another holiday buy - this sassy black lace dress that I bought home from Ibiza.
Above is a dress I bought from M & Co a few years ago. Abu Dhabi was a great opportunity to wear it again, and it fits much better now too.
You all know my love of jumpsuits, I had to take this one away with me. I like how they look, how they feel and this is a brilliant example of something to wear in the sunshine for a balmy evening having diner al fresco.
Thanks for joining me today, if you fancy visiting this terrific destination I would thoroughly recommend it - great weather when we went, pampered by the staff and spoilt rotten with all the wonderful food, and excellent cocktails.
Catch you again on Thursday for the #chicandstylish #linkup. Until then it's been lovely.
Bye for now. X
