Co-Ord or Two-Piece? #Chicandstylish #LINKUP

Good morning lovelies.
Hope you are well.  What's been occurring in over fifty blogging land?

I've spent the last few days gardening and enjoying the grandkids.  There's nothing better than staring at a newborn, playing with a two year old, cuddling a 3 month old and helping a four year old.  Beauty of being a grandparent is that we can step away & return to normality, thus leaveing it to the kids - kind of been-there-done-that rule!
My blogging has taken a bit of a back seat over the past few days, which is actually what draws me to blogging life.  I love the fact I can blog when and where I want so it really fits into my lifestyle.  The drawback to that ... my stats seem to be down!  I understand that these go hand in hand so I need to pull myself away from the cuddles and get back to serious blogging!

Serious blogging and seriously loving this outfit!  Whether you call it a Co-Ord or Two-Piece this is one of the most flattering pieces I've owned.  It just screams femininity to me & so pleasing to wear.

When I saw Emma - Style Splash wearing her Co-Ord set I knew that I had to get myself something similar.  I was scanning the rails in M & S a few weeks ago and spotted just what I wanted.
It had Mummabstylish written all over it and I knew it would be a deserving favourite over the coming months.  I dropped a few lots of hints to the children just before Mother's Day and low and behold there is was neatly wrapped when we went for lunch on the Saturday!  They are so sweet and thoughtful - even with the clues I dropped. 🤣
So I've reached the age of wearing a knitted Co-Ord (two piece sounds even older) from Marks and Spencer but at nearly 55 that sounds about right.  However judging by the various pieces I've seen online these are high in the fashion stakes, so I must be up there too!
Let's run you through my outfit then.
The flared skirt has a soft ribbed effect & sits mid way on my calf for an elegant look. I'm loving the swaying movement in makes, It's got a good amount of knit for this to happen.  The elasticated waist is another winner in my eyes, so much easier to wear & goes without saying makes for a comfy feel.

I'm adoring the light tan Co-Ord but it's also available in grey too, maybe that's a better option for you.  What would your choice be?  In sizes S,M,L & XL I've opted for the Medium, which worked really well.  You're price point of £35 makes this an interesting piece that can be worn with a handful of others tops.

Here I paired my Wallis long line blazer as I wanted to keep to neutral tones, but i would quite like to switch it up to wear a bolder colour like red, navy or fern green.  Neutral accessories by way of calla court shoes, you can read all about them here.  Cream tote bag and a statement necklace from Jaeger completed my outfit for a dressy, season appropriate look.

The short sleeved textured jumper is spot on for when the weather can't make up it's mind, with a thin jacket or cardigan over the top this charming Co-Ord can be worn from Spring right though to Autumn.  Contrasting cream stripes keeps you right on trend - especially knowing you can wear this with some cropped jeans and trainers, & at £25 it's an affordable piece for sure.  I'm wearing a size 12, and the extensive range of size 6 to 24 means there will be one for you!

A statement necklace is the finishing touch most outfits need and this is no exception.  I wanted pearls, but not the old fashioned label "twin set and pearls"  I wanted in-you-face pearls which is just what I put on!

See what I mean about the swish and sway of the heavy drape - very Chic and Stylish don't you think?

Do take a look at the grey option, that's begging to be bought too!

  11. Lovely! Interesting what you were saying about your stats: I was thinking ahead to our vacation to France when I wouldn't be linking up for 2 weeks and I am pretty sure my new blogger stats will do down to barely anything even though I will have some posts scheduled. These link ups have been awesome to get be out there and increase my traffic so thank you for hosting!

  12. I love this look, Jacqui, and would wear it in a hot second! I'm with you on the blogging thing. I've had a couple of curve balls over the past weeks and have been delinquent in visiting and commenting on my favorite blogs. So much agree on the grandchildren--phew, I get a lot more tired in my 50s than I did in my 30s!

  14. Your two set knit dress is stunning. I would love s.th. like that in hot pink, navy or bottlegreen. LOL. Crayon colors are my thing. Your dress is perfect for cool summer days at the office. Comfy, prfessional and chic, all in one. It doesn't get any better than that, right?
