Black, Mustard and an Eye Catching Jacket.
Hello and welcome to the blog today.
What have you over fifty bloggers been up to?
Another long weekend to enjoy - here's what I've been up to.
I've had a really girly weekend with my daughters, you see my hubby and the boys have been on the 'stag' weekend, and by the time you read this i'm hoping they get back safe and sound!
Saturday I managed to get loads done, trimming the hedge took little over an hour so I'm happy with that, left me more time to catch up on some YouTube videos, spent a bit of time playing around with my hair, and putting makeup on. Been nice to have a bit of me time!
Saturday evening was spent with my daughters and grand-kids eating takeaway and talking wedding.
Sunday we went for another dress fitting, it's all starting to feel REAL now, and I have to admit I'm a tad apprehensive at the thought of my middle daughter leaving home - albeit three roads away, but that's for me to deal with and work through. Sunday evening was a real treat as my gran-daughter came for a sleepover, luckily with Bank Holiday Monday and hubby still away, there was no school and enough room in the bed for the pair of us, this is obviously the plus side of having empty nest syndrome - grand-kids come along and fill the gap!! Whoopie!
My turn with the girls next weekend when I'm off to Spain for some fun and games, I just need to get all my outfits ready, and seeing as I'm away with young ones the task has proved somewhat harder than when I'm away with friends. I don't want to look out-of-place but then again I don't want to stick out as 'mutton' if you get my drift? So any suggestions will be greatly appreciated and I'll let you know how the weekend goes in due course. I took advantage of hubby being away on Saturday by popping to my local T K Maxx, just to see what they had on offer. I tried on a couple of dresses, but they didn't quite hit the spot.
Having sorted through my swimwear and beach attire (I'm hoping for fabulous weather in Spain), I need another swimsuit or tankini and a dress or jumpsuit - will fill you in on what I find and what I'm packing later.
Anyhow back to what I wore today. I've had this long line jacket hanging in the wardrobe for a few years now, getting back into was a bonus for me as it's been too tight to wear. Paired over straight leg trousers (mine are from Zara - but these are very similar) & a mustard tee shirt - et voila my causal shopping outfit was completed with two sets of beads. Couldn't decide on what looked best so opted to wear them both. I think they work well together, adding some interest to my outfit.
You can never go wrong with a neutral jacket - this longer length is a great addition for me now I can fit into it. It came from H & M as a gift from the children, fabulous striped design across the bottom don't you think?
Hope you've all had a brilliant long weekend my friends - I'm on countdown to the wedding - only 19 more days to go - eekk. Thankfully I've got my outfit ready now, I can't wait to show you all.
Thanks so much for stopping over today.
Much appreciate your time.
Cheerio my friends. X
