Style Not Age - Recycled Fashion!
Hi there my friends.
Hope you are all well.
I'm probably still on cloud nine after my daughters wedding aka THE WEDDING OF THE YEAR!
Now I'll be clearing up the mess from two days of partying - wish me luck.
Last Monday of the month can only mean one thing - Style not Age Challenge.
Set by my lovely blogging friend Anna - Anna's Island Style & I have to admit to not giving 100% to this challenge. To be totally honest with all the wedding stuff going on I completely forgot!
So without further ado, here's my burnt offerings for .....
Recycled Fashion.
I had a multitude of ideas for this month's challenge, none came to fruition due to wedding preparations, so I will have to save them for another post.
My rushed response settled on the outfit I wore on my recent trip to Spain with the 'hens'.
I took three outfits for the evenings out and one had been recycled from the charity pile, so is sort of recycled if you like!
My pinstripe dress (first seen here) has been featured on the blog a year or so ago, but was relegated to the charity pile. It only survived by the skin of its teeth because I needed a suitable dress to take to Spain. I worked well with my flat sandals and cute belt bag that I got from my daughters friend. Here's the only photo i had taken wearing it. I'm with my bestie who looks smashing in her not borrowed, new dress.
The shift dress is from Marks and Spencers quite a few years ago, could be worn casually with flats or sandals, & equally as stylish worn with heels and a jacket. The photo looks rather like a brown pinstripe, but it is black and can be pepped up with a smattering of red, pink or tan (as i did previously).
Let's see what Anna - Anna's Island Style has found. She's the queen of buying from charity shops and always stuns me with her bargain finds, and fabulous combinations. Do stop by her blog for all the details.
Shall we take a look at Emma's choice? She can be found blogger at Style Splash and quite often shares a charity shop find or two!
Finally shall we see what Hilda has chosen? Another denim jacket in the mix - which is really funny as that was just what I had wanted to style, we all seem to be on the same wave length don't we! Find more of her style on her blog Over the Hilda.
Loving the looks from my pals on the Style Not Age collective. Denim and blue seem to be the theme, so I think I might have missed the email on that one!
Hope you all don't mark me low scores for the latest task - I promise to better next time ladies. x
Many thanks for taking the time to stop by today - I'll look forward to receiving your comments my friends.
Take care and I'll be back with a full run down of the wedding as soon as I've cleared up & recovered!!! Bottle bank here I come!
Cheerio X

You will still get lots of wear out of that dress this year Jacqui. I hope you recover swiftly! xx
ReplyDeleteI think I might Laurie, funny how we like pieces again. I wonder what else is in the charity pile that I might love again! x
DeleteLovely Summer dress Jacqui! I bet you're glad you saved it from the charity shop pile now...a bit like me and my denim jacket! I hope you've recovered from the wedding and are feeling more rested now.
