Morning, thanks for joining me today.
Hope you'll be adding to the #Chicandstylish #LINKUP my friends.
Well it seems all the holiday weather has come at the same time! I really feel like I want to be on holiday - you know when all your want to wear are flat sandals, shorts, thin strap tee shirts/cool dresses and drag your hair in a top knot all sans makeup!!! Yep that's been me for the past few days - I certainly look a picture. 😒
Fortunately, last week Esther Ruby & I had a day taking photos when it was a tad cooler, so I might not have to struggle in the heat to get some more that I need, that's unless we get lucky and the hot weather decides to stay!
Here's the other dress I bought in H & M last week. I picked this up in the sale, but after donning it last week and again the next day I can confirm I would have bought this even if it hadn't been in the sale.
What are your thoughts on my latest addition? I'm thinking ahead to wearing it not only in Autumn, but in Winter too. Layering, boots and chunky knitwear come to my mind.
The grey jersey dress is light-weight enough to wear when it's hot & look cool whilst doing so. The style is a very flattering fit and flare, with enough swish and swirl to strut your stuff and keep nice and cool. It's not a clingy number so again great to wear when it's warm. Believe it or not it was only £6, yes £6 in the sale and knowing this style already suited me I was onto a winner for sure.
I chose the bag first, checking middle daughters collection (she's not taken them to her own house yet) and found this trendy tartan one - I wanted to let the dress speak for itself so kept the colours neutral, but it really stands out. I mused my necklace selection and matched the black, white and gold with this statement piece I brought home from Sorrento - for my daughter, but it's ended up in my possession .... not sure how *whistles with raised eyes* Lol. x
Here's that swish I was telling you about. So pleased with how it moved I wore it last week to my dancing class. I paired it over a new pair of sandals from Lotus Shoes (to be featured on the blog very soon) I loved the feel as I sashayed round the floor Waltzing with my 'pretend' partner. (singletons take turns pairing with the instructor and his wife).
Grey heels to complete the somewhat monochrome look, these are from Dorothy Perkins and are comfortable, even though they have quite a high heel. They have a cross strap to keep me nice and stable.

Last week's entrants had me oohhing and arrhhing at their wonderful blog posts, I somehow managed to find the favourite and here she is ..... Gail - Is This Mutton? I couldn't resist Gail's sparkly sequined outfit, that would be hard pushed to look out-of-place anywhere really!
