Pale Blue & Off White - #chicandstylish #linkup

Hi there my friends.
Happy 4th July to my blogging friends in the USA. X
How is over fifty blogging going?
Finally enjoying some warm weather here in the UK, which means I can also enjoy being in the garden - both working and relaxing.  Having cut both front and back lawns today, the garden is looking really nice now, although there's still lots of things I'd like to add to it, but it's a work in progress!

We have a christening on Sunday, so I tried on the dress I wanted to wear, but annoyingly found that it's too big and doesn't really look any good on.  So earlier this week I went shopping to buy another (whilst picking up a gorgeous pair of mules I'd bought after seeing Laurie - Vanity and Me Style wearing her's) I perused the rails in Debenhams picking out four dresses to try.  I ended up buying two - both from Principles and both utterly stunning.  I'll get photos for a post hopefully in the next week or so.

I'm still having big problems with photos taking, bribing family to take shots for me whenever then can.  I'm starting to think about doing an online course, so if any of you have already tried this, please do spill the beans and share your information - pretty please. 🙏 *flutters eylashes*

Anyhow, back to today's look.  How about an off white blouse paired with an embossed pencil skirt?
Yes thought you'd like it .... me too!

Stripes in this shirt look elegant and chic, it also feels soft and with the relaxed style it's an excellent choice to pair with my embossed skirt.  I found my skirt at the back of my wardrobe, and couldn't wait to wear it.  I do find a stretchy pencil skirt easy to wear, and have quite a few in my collection.  Usually I've added a pale blue jumper over the top to wear on cold days, but this long sleeve blouse looked just as good and kept me cool too.

The blouse is from Marks and Spencer (similar on sale here) earlier on this year, so far I've worn it with jeans.  I think it's charming with the skirt adding a little Parisian chic. Although it's made from seersucker - there's not a table cloth in sight - lol!  I reached for my white and black sling backs which have a sensible but stylish medium heel.  These are also from M & S but I've had them for years!

I resisted the urge to wear my pearls opting for the bling Happiness Boutique necklace in corresponding pale blue.  Wraps up the outfit beautifully don't you think?

My white bag has been a popular choice over recent months, and with three sections and umpteen pockets to keep everything in place.  I picked it up in my favourite store - T K Maxx, which reminds me I haven't been looking in there recently, so maybe I'll pop over to have a muse.

  10. Your successful dieting has only one downside and I remember it well. I packed away all of my too big clothes for years before finally taking them off to a charity shop. But how lovely to have a legitimate excuse to go off shopping! I love this patterned skirt - it reminds me of one I have lurking in the back of my closet too. You're looking radiant as every Jacqui x
