Good morning!
How are you?
Can't believe this is my last post of August! Where has this month gone, it's flown by so quickly. With the hot weather really getting to me these past few weeks I'm eagerly waiting for the cooler temperatures to arrive - yes I no your telling me to "shut up". There's no rhyme or reason to my body temperature I'm either boiling hot or freezing cold - I just want to be in-between and normal!
I've got a busy week coming up with a Christening on Sunday, photos with Esther on Monday, appointments in the week, a trip to London which I'm really excited about and also on Wednesday my son will be participating in The Worlds Oldest Rowing Race on the River Thames, you might just remember my eldest son competing back in 2016 - you can read about our day out here. It's going to be a busy few days with baking and preparing food for both christening and race, but I'll try to visit your blogs as much as I can.
My son will be team light blue, & we're all be wearing something in that colour to show our support - we have a boat and some 100 odd family and friends joining us for the day - fingers crossed we get the result we want - especially after all his hard work & determination. I've got a couple of ideas what I'm going to wear, but none are dresses. I might end up donning white jeans and the cute baby blue Zara top I shared with you recently. Had it been turquoise I could have worn this beautiful and oh-so-chic dress I bought for a recent christening. I picked up two in the Debenhams/Principles sale, two for the price of one sang in my ears when I took both to the checkout - happy days. **Featuring the second on Monday's post **
The scarf design dress has an oriental look to it, somewhat like a kimono. It's such a pretty shade of turquoise & could quite happily be my favourtie colour of the season (except pink obviously). Being drawn to both style and colour like a month to a flame. It's an unusual pick for me, be turned out to be a very flattering choice. It's a straight skirt that looks like scarfs joined together with more for the sleeves, the neckline also reinforces the feminine feel and makes way for my white flower necklace.
Turquoise, white and navy - a striking dress that's a joy to wear. White old faithful cork wedges that I've had for a few years now, they are so comfortable I wish I'd bought the tan option too! final touches - my navy clutch along with the white necklace.
I'm loving the sleeves, with a nice split under the arm they were certainly a wonderful addition in the heat!

Very busy, thanks for stopping by Emma. x
DeleteWhat a fun event to watch AND to be able to color-coordinate with your team - I think that beautiful baby blue top with white jeans is just the perfect thing for it! Nice, clean, crisp and summery. That dress in turquoise is just gorgeous on you, though. You don't think you could just cheat a little and wear it anyway? Probably more comfortable wearing jeans and a top than a dress with heels to watch rowing, though. And I love Tatiana's look - what a beautiful jumpsuit!
