Dressing for Autumn (& Rome).
Morning my lovely friends. Hope it's been a fabulous weekend for you all.
I'm just back after having a glorious time in Rome - you may have seen my IG stories featuring all the fun!
Travelling out last Wednesday with four other couples was guaranteed to have plenty of laughs and good times, with special memories to be made. That's just what happened in the historic & majestic city. Do stop by to catch the exciting post in the next few weeks, as I'm sharing The Colosseum, The Vatican Museum, Segway tour, Spanish Steps & The Trevi Fountain.
Today is the third Monday of the month, I know can you believe it - I can't hence no Style Steal today - will be trying to re-schedule for Thursday, photographer permitting - lol.
But what I can share with you is one of the little dresses I took to stunning Italy. I found this in T K Maxx a few weeks ago, as it was a cheapie in the sale I didn't hesitate to buy it.
The mesh calf length dress is a fashionable camouflage pattern, and the yellowy - lime green and black is an unusual colour mix & that's what drew me in. It's a nice stretchy mesh material that fits snugly over an attached black slip dress. I was concerned to find that finished at my thigh, I was worried the mesh top would be see-through, but my fears we soon put to rest when Esther assured me it covered me legs and wasn't at all transparent at all.
It has a round neckline and short fitted sleeves - both very comfortable. I love the length, it sits half-way down my calf which means long boots will compliment the dress just as much as my ankle boots do too.
Even though the camouflage dress shares the colours of the foliage, I still feel the dress stands out for the beauty it is. I won't be hiding in this one for sure.
My boots are from Zara earlier this year, more like a western style boot with a study block heel. The black leather is very soft both inside and out. A perfect boot for Autumn and Winter, so with a chunky jumper, scarf or jacket over this outfit it'll be very well suited to wear when the weather changes & the sunshine and warm days head out on their holidays to the southern hemisphere!
My only matching necklace is this twisted yellow and silver creation - a gifted pre-loved beauty that has appeared once before on the blog - many thanks Mrs W. xxx
Photos were taken by the very talented Esther ruby - thanks so much sweetie. X
Catch you on Thursday for the #chicandstylish #LINKUP and my Style Steal.
Bye for now. X
