How are you.
If all goes to plan, you'll be reading this and I'll be in sunny (hopefully) Rome!
After having my Over fifty health check at the doctors I'm starting to pay more and more attention to my health. So when I was asked to review Liquid Health Joint care from Boots* I jumped at the chance. Whilst I try to keep myself fit and consider I'm at my fittest since my teens, my joints and bones often creak and groan after, and sometimes during, my gym sessions - I feel any sort of intervention is going to be helpful.
As more people are seeking ways to stay active for longer, many are now looking beyond glucosamine capsules, to new joint care ingredients - specifically collagen peptides. The beneficial effect of Peptan (tm) marine collagen on joint health (1) and its ability to aid in the restoration of one mineral density(2) is scientifically proven by a growing body of studies, including a placebo controlled clinical trial.
LQ Liquid Health is a liquid food supplement containing Marine Collagen and Gulcosamine among other ingredients and is scientifically formulated to support healthy joints. You can study all the science here.
Items marked with * have been gifted to me, however these are 100% my own honest comments.
A daily 50 ml shot of the sweet ginger and lycee liquid was pleasingly sweet with cherry undertones. Unlike other supplements I've taken LQ was pleasant to drink, and much more agreeable than taking pills. Another option of adding it to a daily smoothie sounds very appealing too.
Quoting from LQ Liquid Health Joint Care - here's the benefits:
Peptan (tm) can promote joint health by:
- Protecting joints and connective tissue
- Reducing join pain and discomfort
- Improving mobility and flexibility
- Supporting the strength of ligaments and tendons.
Peptan(tm) can promote bone health by:
- Reducing bone breakdown
- Restoring bone mineral density
- Increasing bone size and solidity
LQ Liquid Health supplements may be used for as long as required - a regular intake is recommended for full benefits.
I'll be keeping a close eye on the outcome of the LQ supplement and hope my joints and bones will keep on supporting me through gym sessions & everyday wear and tear.
