Styling a LBT (Top) #chicandstylish #linkup

Morning my friends.  Hope you're all well.

I have taken full advantage of the slower week and put some time into the blog - I'd been wanting to catch up after having a full few weeks and a break to Rome.
After catching up with a mountain of washing on Monday, I've been visiting your blogs & checking out what you're all wearing.  Similar to me - in as much as looking towards an Autumnal/Fall wardrobe.
This season I plan to go through my clothes and really get rid of stuff I don't really wear and put it in some sort of order again!  I'm also planning on creating a capsule type wardrobe, just buying similar colours and shades, therefore enabling me to have a wider choice of what to wear.  Let's see if this goes my way and works!!! Lol.

Now I had planned to have a Style Steal ready for you today, but unfortunately I've not had the photos taken, so will put that one on hold for now - sorry my lovelies.
Instead I'd like to share a LBT (little black top) with you.  Finding this in Primark a few weeks ago, I thought It would be a nice little addition for Autumn.  I liked the non-crease senario - no ironing appeals to me in a big way, how about you?

Today I've styled my new top over previously seen tailored white shorts to create a black and white number.  I wanted to show that shorts can be worn when the weather is cooler with boots and a jacket.

With a turtle neck that makes wearing a statement necklace standout perfectly.  This three string beaded beauty hasn't been on the blog before, I've had it years but never found the right ensemble to wear it with!  Short sleeves have a slight bat-wing effect, and its silky fabric won't crease making it look neat all the time.

Previously my shorts worked well with the neutral rust blouse, so I figured paired with black they'd look good too!  Here I've used the attached belt - although I'm not totally in love with the big button, the colours worked well with the other pieces, so it stayed.

Have you spotted my delicious snakeskin boots?  These are from T K Maxx and I'm so pleased I jumped on this trend as I can see them looking fabulous with plenty of other outfits, dresses and trousers included - you'll be seeing lots more of them on the blog within the coming months.

A statement jacket compliments my black & white look and the eye-catching hem detail balances out the plain block shorts and top.  I've had this for a few years, and have styled it with black and mustard here.

It's party time,  #Chicandstylish #linkup is ready and waiting.

Favourite blogger from last week is  .... Darlene - Aquamarina Style who's showing us her transitional outfit that I absolutely love.  The colours and layering is just what I like to wear, I'm going to try my hardest to find a copy of this one!

  10. You look wonderful in this ensemble! Could you replace the button with an outsize white one - love the look of the belt, but that button color does intrude a bit.
