Party Shoes to Dance the Night Away!

Morning my friends.
Mummabstylish has been running around in circles and going mad quite frankly!
I've had a problem with the blog and with my lack of IT experience don't have a clue how to fix it!
We're talking 3rd party scripts, forward slashes and non-existent blog posts!!  Any help greatly appreciated all you IT wizards out there.
**Late edit - all sorted now thanks to Blogger Help-Desk - phew**
Let's forget about that for now and get back to what I prefer talking about - fashion.
You'll have seen my post last week featuring the dress I borrowed from my daughter - but today I wanted to share more of the outfit with you - namely the sexy shoes!

Items marked with * have been gifted to me, however these are 100% my own honest comments.

I rather like the attention I got when we had photos taken. 😜

With party season round the corner, it's time to start shoe shopping for that special pair.  I don't always buy a new pair for Christmas, but normally have a particular pair that I like to wear for parties and dining out when I want to get dressed up and feel special.  So when Lotus Shoes asked me to select something I just couldn't resist these stunners.
Red makes a delicious change from the black that I'd normally choose, so these dark ruby beauties called Isobel* really caught my eye.  I love a sling back shoe and always have since buying my first pair in navy from Clarks years ago.  I've always felt very "grown up" in this style - so have always got a pair or two to chose from.
Let's talk about the dress first.  As I mentioned before this dress is my daughters.  It came from an outlet store for some silly price like £10 - she couldn't resist it (like mother, like daughter) and it's been hanging on her rail ever since.
The elegant neckline is really flattering, it scoops to a 'v' with wide enough straps to cover decent underwear.  It's nicely fitted with a zip on the back.  But what I love is the up-down hem line - meaning something shorter at the front gives an illusion of height (good for me) & the longer back looks elegant and graceful.  The best of both worlds!  Having a shorter front also gives the perfect view of dainty shoes.  I just need an occasion to don it again, knowing that it fits me!

I love this shot, you can really see the flamboyant red roses on the black dress - don't they stand out?
It's so different to the understated dresses that I normally wear, and I rather like the attention I got when we had photos taken. 😜

Isobel soft microfiber mimics the smooth feel of suede & is durable too - I've found it's easier to clean than suede - I cleaned a pair of my daughter mustard platforms that she ruined on a night out - washing up liquid did the job beautifully!  They have quite a high heel 9.5cm, and it's a stiletto, so are predominantly what I call car-to-bar shoes, but after a few drinks I'll be dancing the night away in them for sure. 😉

Can you see they are cut quite high? So with the pointed effect running through to the toe they give an elongated feel - nothing better than making your legs look longer.
With two other colour choices - navy and black, Isobel certainly shows they are the perfect all-round party shoe and at just under £60 an affordable addition for the party season.

Remember I told you there was an interesting detail on the heel?  Well here it is!  It's a noticeable gold metal bar running down the center for an eye catching flash of glamour and allure.

I've got these ear-marked for a festive party in December, so will sure to be dancing the night away in them!
Thanks so much for stopping by the blog - I love the support you show me, and look forward to reading your comments.

And I love that you were enjoying the attention given during your photo shoot. So fun! The shoes are absolutely gorgeous, too. I have a similar pair that I believe I should break out and style again.
