Styling Caramel Trousers with Pale Blue & Denim.

Morning my friends.
All good with MummaB & I do hope everything is good with you too!
I've been out for ANOTHER afternoon tea at the weekend.  Relishing the delights of the Sands Hotel with friends made for a great Saturday afternoon, not even the dreary pouring rain could spoil the fun for myself and three friends - basically enjoying the company of what we call 'Friday night wives' - just to clarify with you, we're a group of ladies who's husbands get together in the local pub every Friday night!  We decided to join forces and enjoy some time together on OUR own.  This was the second attempt as many of us couldn't make the last date which ended up being cancelled!  However last Saturday four of us were ready, willing and able to have a fun cream tea with a cheeky bottle of fizz to seal the fun!  With non-stop rain all day, the only thing I wanted to wear was jeans, boots and a warm and waterproof coat!  The outfit I'm sharing with you today is one that I would have preferred to wear for the girly occasion, so as I already had these photos I thought why not share it with you instead!
The outfit is based around the tapered style caramel trousers that I picked up in the F & F Sale - I know they'll just work with loads I already have hanging in my wardrobe (you might have seen my IG stores a while back where I kept finding new pieces to wear with them).

As soon as I saw these classic trousers I grabbed them without a second thought - fortunately they fitted like a glove.  Once I got them home I went through my wardrobe and drawers pulling out tops, scarves and jackets that mixed with them.  I knew immediately that this outfit would work - baby blue and caramel have a liking for each other as you can see by the photos.  I also found that orange looked good, as did my blue paisley blouse - there's so much potential hidden in these stylish trews!

Now when these photos were taken, I was fortunate enough to have dry weather so I wore these navy suede court shoes and no socks, I do plan to wear boots in the future - either navy or beige as both would look good.  I've also got ideas for these trainers too - for a relaxed, casual feel.

You know I'm a huge fan of my denim jacket and it has topped off many a Mummabstylish outfit in the past.

Choosing pale blue wasn't a hard choice because it just looks so nice.  This patterned knit from Zara was an obvious choice, but for cooler days I have another little beauty waiting in the wings - which you've already seen it here with floral trousers last winter.

The obligatory 'throwing leaves' photo - guilty as charged I'm afraid - ha ha ha!
I wrapped up my outfit with my Venice beads - I picked up two strings on my visit last year (crikey I just checked and it was two years ago), but am really cross that I didn't get any more colours as the cute little beads are a pleasing finish to many outfits.😠

I love the extra details in these trousers - the little pocket tab and unusual belt all add interest to the classic pants, and the tapered style is flattering and comfortable too.

Esther Ruby took these amazing photos for me, as always I'm very grateful to her.

  9. I think enjoying a tea with the girls while the weather outside isn't very nice sounds like a lot of fun! I think I'd look for somewhere with a cozy fireplace. You look just gorgeous in this outfit! The pants are a wonderful style and color and I just love it with the pale blue and the denim. I think we don't think as much about wearing denim with our dressier clothes but it's perfect!
