OASIS Party Dress Styled Three Ways!

Morning.
Wow how did we get to the last month of the year?  It seems like only yesterday I was busy helping plan my daughters wedding!  It was a wonderful time, and I enjoyed every minute of it.  I've still to do a post on it, but want to get it just right - it's a work-in-progress post!
Well party season is right on us now, and you may have already started your festive celebrations.  I have a few occasions to don a sparkly dress and wear some party heels, and am always on the lookout for just the right dress.  With a dinner - dance coming up along with a couple of nights out, I was thrilled when Oasis asked me to style an outfit three ways for the festive season and immediately found THE dress that would suit all the occasions I had planned.

... immediately found the dress that would suit all the occasions I had planned.

Items marked with * have been gifted to me, however these are 100% my own honest comments.

This dress caught my attention straight away.  I adore the bat-wing sleeve and quite often garments seem to just find me!  You might recall my 80's trench coat with raglan sleeves, and also my mustard M & S dress that I've worn a couple of times on the blog before.
It's so me, a midi dress* with long sleeves, scoop neckline, a belt and sparkle! A machine washable product containing viscose, polyester & metallised fibre which runs through to create a shiny texture - you can't really pick this up from the photos, but it definitely has a shiny effect.
I'm wearing a medium, which is roughly a 12 - 14, it fits me beautifully, and I felt so at ease in it.  I hate to have anything too tight, short or uncomfortable - especially when relaxing and enjoying the party season.  It's now been reduced to £38.50 which is shockingly cheap for the quality you're getting.  Now the belt is key, it's giving shape in the right places, my silhouette is nearly hour-glass!

Let's get started on the first idea I had.
Paired with black ankle strap heels*, I know it's an old faithful match, but hang on just look at the sandals - black heel ✓pointed toe ✓ ankle strap ✓ soft, wipe clean texture ✓ AND they're now reduced to £28!  They'll also be a valuable asset for work too.  Just this once I tried tights - not just any tights patterned tights ...  decorative hosiery is right on trend at the moment, and these my mum gave me have changed my mind to liking them.  I want more like this!

Now just check out the bag, a girl can never have enough bags, and the same can be said for black clutch bags!  I've got about four now, and like to rotate them.  I was smitten with this quilted pouch*  a bag that's not too big, but can fit my essentials in - you know phone, lippy, cards and comb.  A la Goldilocks comes to mind - it's just right!

My second look had to be more sparkly.  Gold sandals were the obvious choice, as was the gold glittery bag.  It's always nice to go sparkly for parties isn't it?  Do let me know what you'd wear with the dress, it's nice to hear other options. x

Earrings are from Accessorize, I've wanted a statement earring with pearls. Great aren't they? I bought them when we visited Tenterden after my weekend in Rye - I do like to come home with something new, and these will be lovely when I get dressed up.

My final look will be the one for Christmas day.  It's going to be great for entertaining and the shoes I chose will be spot on for high comfort levels when I'm busy cooking, preparing and having fun.  The Josie kitten heels are from an interesting selection at Vionic shoes - with all the comfort your feet need on the most special day of the year - see when I styled mine last year with a fancy lace dress.

Accessorize have plenty of sweet little extras, these clips really help re-style long hair that just needs an extra bit of bling.  I simply slid into my hair on one side, for a double helping of sass and style!
Go see these which are very much like mine.

How about a nice plunge necklace to compliment a dress.  My gold chain is from a selection at Matalan, but you could try this one which is just as dreamy.

Unfortunately Oasis don't sell anything to reduce the effects of over-indulgence, however I found the best alternative - some stylish and snazzy sunglasses - hiding my eyes for the glare! The best way to get over a night of frivolous fun and one too many glasses is a flat coke!  So with both types of glasses it's not long until I'm back to normal and ready to face the day.  Check out the Holly Metal Framed Sunglasses that have now been reduced to £4!

So happy that you could stop by, let me know what you're up to - I love hearing from you!
My photos were taken by Esther Ruby, we had a fun time taking them as usual!
Bye for now. X

  3. I love the different ways you've chosen to style the dress. They do make quite a difference in how it looks. And I love all three pairs of shoes. I'm going to go with the first look as my favorite, though - just love the ankle-strap shoes and the patterned hose! Looking gorgeous - even after a bit of overindulgence At first I thought you were drinking a stout - probably the best way to get rid of a hangover. :P
