Morning.
How are you all?
I'm still getting back into the swing of all things blogging, so until I'm back to normal with my post's it'll be a bit up and down. After missing the last two months' Style Steal series I've being trying to get to grips with finding a copy and putting one together. Having a little free time it's been nice to create this one with pieces already in my wardrobe, you've not seen the skirt before - it's from Next and a welcomed addition as I've worn it loads already. The jacket, boots and jumper have all been featured before too.
Firstly I'll tell you a little about my week. Friday night I went dancing, and have been up-graded to a pre-intermediate class which is brilliant. Learning similar routines at a faster pace suits me much better, I can really get into it and enjoy my time spinning around the floor. I still need a partner (hint - hint hubby) but enjoy the class so much I'm going to continue going.
Saturday we went to a 60th birthday party, I had a really fun time at our friend's house chatting to friends I'd not seen for a while. There was lots of dancing and drinking so it ended up a really late night.
Sunday, as you can imagine was very s - l - o - w indeed - I actually didn't get up until GONE 12!!! Yikkes!!! I watched TV all afternoon, and ended the day with a takeaway curry - 😋
Monday I went to my abs class - good fun there, half an hour of intensive exercise really woke me up. Same on Tuesday at the spin class, which I might end up regretting when
Seems like an age since I last did a Style Steal - reason being I've just not had the time to check out all your blogs over the past few months, but one I did spot was the perfect candidate this month - do you know who it could be?
Yes it's Laurie - Vanity & Me Style! Her style is always based around neutral, classic and elegant outfits, and this is no exception. I've tweaked mine a little, just adding a colourful red cross-body bag and also a trendy neck tie which matches the leopard pleated skirt.
I found my leopard skirt in Next, it must have been in the sale because it was only £10 but is now sold out. This is a super darker alternative that you might like. Mine is on an elasticated waist which is very forgiving for this time of the year when everyone needs just a little bit more space than normal - lol! It has a heavy drape that moves beautifully when I walk and sits about mid calf which makes for a flattering fit.
I chose a cream cable knit jumper mainly for warmth, but quite like the look too. The faux leather jacket is very similar to the one Laurie is wearing and gets plenty of outings as I love wearing it.
How do you like the neck tie? Makes a change from a necklace don't you think? I haven't been wearing many scarfs or ties recently, but I will be changing that if the weather stays cold! I had my gloves on too, these came from my Debenhams and are a very elegant finish when it's cold.
Last but not least I added a dash of colour by way my red cross-body bag, I could easily have picked cream, black or brown bag to keep the theme going. Which reminds me I need to have a little trip to T K Maxx to check out the bag section - just in case I see one that takes my fancy!!!

DeleteOh, such a good one to copy! I love how you found everything in your closet. My outfit today is inspired by an outfit I saw yesterday while reading some blogs. Love finding inpiration to change up an outfit. That skirt is reminding me that I want to find a leopard skirt this season. So many pretty outfits to create with it. Dancing sound like fun! I have taken a couple classes here and there but it has been a while. I used to go contra dancing many moons ago with friends, it is a mix of country dancing and square dancing.
