A Camel Coat to Finish Any Look.

Morning to you all.
February already!  The weather seems to be improving, with signs of Spring on the way.  Is anyone else in need of some sunshine?  I just need some colour on my skin, so will be reaching for the Dove fake I've just purchased!!
I'm looking forward to seeing what's new in the fashion stakes.  It's always nice to see what colours are popular and more importantly what will be leaders in my wardrobe.
I've been busy writing about my recent ski trip to Italy, so will be sharing that with you on Thursday.
This post is a bit #ootd really - nothing new that you haven't seen before, but just a different way of putting things together.  I'm really trying to add interest to my outfits since starting blogging, I rather like seeing what goes together rather than what totally matches - if you get what I mean.
This outfit is based around the coat - you've seen it styled with tan and blue, well this is similar but with added warm tones of red! Do you think it's interesting enough?

Starting with the Sosandar camel coat which has been a winner in my eyes.  I like everything about it - the style, length, wide lapel, well situated buttons and it's warmth.  The wool mix camel coat is very versatile and really is the 'keep forever' coat as it pairs beautifully with so many outfits.  I've worn it over jeans casually in the daytime, over a dress for an evening out & over wide leg trousers and the blouse my sister gave me, it complimented them all leaving me feeling very stylish and dare I say elegant too.

The tweed Chanel inspired skirt is from M & S a few seasons ago.  It's a tad shorter than I normally would wear, and I did put tights on to cover the harsh white legs I have during the winter (I might have found the most comfy tights as I wore them all day without them digging in or slipping down!)
You can see when I wore it with my pink cashmere jumper and red shoes - another unusual way for me to wear it.

My Lotus boots have proved invaluable this winter - I've worn them so much and not once have they made my feet hurt or made my legs ache.  The heel height is perfect - high enough to look classy, but low enough for happy legs.

Finally the cute little casual top - from H & M and grabbed whilst waiting at the checkout.  The sleeve detail is pretty with extra pleats giving a fuller, puffy effect.  The jersey crepe top feels light and airy on & the boat neckline is nice.  I wore it with jeans recently and I think the colour will be 'in' come the Spring. 👍  With a few different colour choices the £9.99 top wont be around for long!
Finishing touches go to the tan and gold necklace - I really find something at the neck completes a look so I either find a necklace or scarf to do the job - do you wear a necklace or tie around your neck?

Thank you for stopping by my friends.  Do let me know what you've been doing recently, and what you are wearing too.
Much love to Esther Ruby for the photos.
See you on Thursday for a brand new #Chicandstylish #LINKUP.
Bye for now. X

  3. I still don’t have a camel coat! And I have a lot of coats so I don’t know why this is! I absolutely love this outfit on you. The tweed skirt is so gorgeous and cobalt blue looks lovely on you, Jacqui. The color combination is beautiful! Thanks so much for linking up with me.

And I agree with you - a necklace or scarf is a must have "finishing" piece for an outfit for me! :)
