Let me start by saying I hope you are all staying safe and well. In these uncertain times we need to draw upon the strength of family, friends and loved ones all the more. I'm so fortunate to have a wonderful family around me, and we all lean upon each other at different times. I hope you are lucky enough to have such wonderful people around you. Let's pray this awful situation doesn't last long and we are back to some sort of 'normal' very soon. X
After having a rather unusual start to the week, as not only was I supposed to be away in Valmorel skiing but my daughter and family moved in with me lock, stock and barrel! With another daughter self isolating due to suffering with Asthma, its be quite an emotional few days. I felt yesterday's post was an unnecessary worry that I didn't need, so didn't even attempt it. Today I'm feeling slightly more settled & feel continuing with blogging will take my mind off the situation - anything positive is a great help eh?
Let's try and lighten the mood, you may have seen me styling a pair of culottes recently. I paired them twice with pale pink and also with lemon.
With so many other options to chose from I've had fun creating more styles. Plenty of you suggested 'all grey' pieces and that's what I went with today - shades of grey.
A few years ago I wouldn't have dreamt of wearing two patterned pieces together even if they were the same colour, but since blogging I've broadened my horizons in big ways, so this leopard print blouse is now an acceptable addition. I've gone all checks and spots with my grey leopard blouse which has a cute tie that can be left hanging or tied in a bow at the neck.
Yes I am walking in the middle of the road, only being interrupted by a couple of cars whilst we took photos.
The darkest shade of grey being black. A black jacket because the weather said yes. Let's pray the weather stays fine for the foreseeable future. If we have to stay isolated it would be good to have sunny warm weather to enjoy, dare I say sit in the garden too - oh there I said it - please don't rain now!
I just love these shoes and the matching bag too. Having had them for a few years now the classic styles haven't wavered and are still as popular as ever. Both bag and courts are a nice shiny patent. Check out these similar slingbacks from Marks and Spencer.
Thanks for showing up today, in these weird times it's nice to enjoy your company.
Esther Ruby kindly took these photos - thanks Hun. x
Bye bye for now. X
I'm on day 8 of isolation and it's driving me nuts Jacqui. I'm pleased about the lock down and hopefully now I can find somewhere remote to take some photos! Stay safe and love to you and yours xx
ReplyDeleteIt's hard going isn't it Laurie. I just wish everyone would adhere to it so we can get it over and done with hopefully. Thanks for stopping over and hope you and the family stays safe and well too. Jacqui x
DeleteSuch a chic look. Thinking of you. Stay safe.
ReplyDeleteI like the pattern mixing and all of the grey looks so good together! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the link up!
Hope that your week is going well :) I'm continuing to work from home this week. School is still open for the kids though for the time being, although that will change next week, so we aren't feeling too constrained with the lock down yet.
Away From Blue
Ooh, I do love gray leopard print, Jacqui! And the pattern mixing is subtle and so perfectly matched! I never mixed patterns before blogging either. But now I feel underdressed if I don’t have at least two patterns in an outfit! Thanks for linking up!
