Bonmarche Jersey/Linen Dress - #Chicandstylish #LINKUP

Hi my friends.
How are you all doing?
All good here in the land of 'What day is it ... err Thursday of course!'
Anyone else wondering just what day, month or year it is?
Just getting a tad fed up of the whole bloody situation now, and just want things to get back to normal.
I want to be able to shop, spend half the day getting ready to go out, enjoy an evening with my hubby in a restaurant or party with friends, go to the beauty salon and HUG MY FAMILY - as if writing it in capitals will make it happen - lol.

So whilst I can't do any of that, what shall I do then? - share a cute little linen dress that can be worn casually in the daytime, or for a cheeky dinner with hubby & even shopping with my bestie (when I can).
When Bonmarche asked me to review this printed jersey dress that has a linen blend trim I was excited to see just what it was like.  I was pleasantly surprised at the feel and look of the navy polka dot dress.  It felt soft to touch.  Bonmarche state it's a lightweight and breathable material which will keep you cool on warm days, which is just spot on! I can vouch for that when I wore it recently.

Items marked with * have been gifted to me, however these are 100% my own honest comments.

When I wore the navy spotted dress I was really happy with how it felt.  It just slipped on and fitted with ease and comfort, it was loose and didn't grab my figure.  I love the length of it too, sits just upon the knee which is great for the sunny weather.  I do need to get more colour on my legs and this dress will allow that to happen when out and about on daily chores.  It's one of those safe dresses, the ones you don't have to worry that you're showing too much cleavage or have too much leg on show!

My pretty dress comes in sizes 10 - 28 and costs a startling £22.  There's two other patterns available - both very exciting for the more flamboyant wearer.  I found it hard to chose between my navy spots and the cobalt blue & bright red options!  The printed jersey dress* is machine washable and a cool iron to keep it looking pristine.

I opted for bright red accessories to keep with a patriotic vibe.  I'm thinking of adding tan accents next time I wear it.  What shades would you add to it?

I took my old faithful jean jacket, but upon seeing the photos I'm not sure it was the right choice.  I'll be looking to add a red jacket to my collection as I reckon that would be a fabulous topping for it!

  3. That's a fabulous dress Jacqui. And of course I love red! I feel your pain, I really am fed up with it now, and people just seem to be making their own decisions about coming out of lockdown and not really listening to the Government any more. It's all very infuriating. Love Michelle xx

  10. I love this polka dotted dress, Jacqui! And red, white, and blue is such a great color combination. Speaking of losing track of time....yeah...I lost that about 2 months ago! I am afraid I may never get my sense of time back.

  11. Yellow would be really cute with it too! I love that it is what you call a safe dress: easy to move in and no worries about too much of anything showing! That wide band at the bottom is really nice too.

And I'm right there with you in regard to having absolutely no idea what day (week, month...) it is! Our county has opened up quite a bit however I'm still rather apprehensive about venturing out too much.

  25. Jacqui, I'm all for "safe" dresses you can throw on and go! And that navy polkadot is just so cute! Yes, we are all a bit fed up, but so glad we did our part to flatten the curve. We are opening up a bit here, but things are still not quite "normal."
