Hello there my friends.
How are you all?
I've had a good week so far with two runs under my belt nearing my 5k target each time. Mind you I'm a picture when I've finished! I'd love to be one of those ladies who run their circuit and don't break out in a bead of sweat! Me - I look like I've run through torrential rain and need a shower and hair wash when I'm finished, but to be fair it's good I run first thing then come home, shower and change into more stylish attire. Anyone else have that problem or can you stay in gym gear for the remained of the day?
I had my hair trimmed last week and it's now settled into a happy, less stressed style - my hair seems to get 'scared' whenever I have it trimmed it doesn't lay right and I never like the way my stylish blow-dries it either. 😟 I like to style it 'my' way and put a little 'oomph' into it - do you have that issue?
One thing I don't have an issue with is wearing culottes. Today I'm sharing another pair from Bonmarche and like last week's animal design these stone version are really going to work hard in my wardrobe throughout the Summer and into Autumn too!
Items marked with * have been gifted to me, however these are 100% my own honest comments.
I've wanted a another pair of culottes for a while and when I spotted these on the Bonmarche website I thought they'd be perfect in my collection - how right I was. Neutrals work well with most colours and this pretty OTS top looks in-keeping with summery vibes - trying to entice the sunshine to stay - lol. Do you remember seeing this sunflower blouse? It's also from Bonmarche a couple of season's ago - you can see it paired with my black plazzo trousers & with my mustard culottes here.
Cropped trousers or culottes are so cool to wear in the summer, quite literally really cool! Sometimes skirts make me hot and sticky and that's when lightweight short trousers are a god-send. Mine also have a fabulous half elastic waistband which is such a good idea - lockdown has left me with some extra pounds I hadn't anticipated & I'm hoping easing out of LD to some sort of normality will have me return to the gym and maybe my diet too!
The trousers also are available in two other colours as well as this stone version*. All come in sizes 10 - 28, although some sizes are very popular so are now not available but do check them out as the £16 price tag is heaven to the purse. All machine washable and don't need an iron - did you hear me - DON'T NEED AN IRON - yay!
Aren't the shoes delicious - #just saying
From Dorothy Perkins and looking fabulous with this stunning dress my neutral 'Demy' ankle strap sandals are still available online my friends - hurrah!

Love the neutral colour of these Jacqui. The top looks lovely with them too xx
ReplyDeleteThat outfit is sensational Jacqui, one of my favourites on you! With your tan and hair you look gorgeous. I always have the same issue with my hair - the first time I wash it, after it's been cut, it looks awful, but the second time and thereafter, is no problem. Weird isn't it. xx
ReplyDeleteYou know i love sunflowers so i love this blouse especially with the pretty sleeves! I am like you: the 3 days a week I run, I am a drenched after my 2 miles and cannot wait to get cleaned up and real clothes. But it sure feels good to be exercising regularly.

you just reminded me I have a pair of culottes hidden away in my closet. Need to dig them back out. Cute look
ReplyDeleteI am a big fan of culottes. I love this look! Everything matches in a perfect way!

The culottes are a great neutral basic-so versatile! Also love the beautiful floral blouse. I think I will be cutting my own hair (and my husband's, too) for quite a while, but mine behaves best with the touch of the skilled professional!
ReplyDeleteI always love wearing culottes- I find they're the in-between styling to going anywhere. Love yours! And paired with those super chic slingbacks- gorgeous! xx
ReplyDeletejacqui i love this outfit!! the blouse is so flowly and lovely....perfectly combined with the culottes!

It's so hot and humid here lately I'm drenched after I run too! Good for you for getting near that 5K distance! Way to go!
ReplyDeleteOh dear, I am one of those women that can do a pretty tough workout or a run (not that I run much these days) and stay in workout gear all day! In fact I tend to get up, get ready, hair and light make-up and do my workout later morning! Love the culottes and the hair is look great, bet it was a relief to get done (I've had my waxing done this week too_!!! Love Michelle www.fiftyandfab.co.uk xx
ReplyDeleteI hate running—pilates is more my speed—but truly admire the people who do it! That's such a beautiful print on your blouse too, and culottes are the best!

Love that whole breezy summer look, Jacqui. And yes--those shoes are to die for!! You are SUPPOSED to sweat when you exercise so good for you. I need to get out and work up a sweat myself!! Keep up the good work.

Thank you for the shout, Jacqui. I am with you on getting out of the gym clothes as soon as I finish exercising. Love this outfit a lot. Truth be told I am not a big fan of culottes for myself but they do look great on you. These shoes are simply divine.

Hi Jacqui, love that top - sunflowers and lemon prints are so perfect for summer! The cullotes are just the perfect shade to go with so much. Great job on the running, I have been doing more walking and will use the treadmill when its too hot.

Love this flowy outfit and nutrals are my favourite. I always change after a work out - usually into other casual clothes, unless i'm going out somewhere. I always feel better when i've done my own hair following a trip to the hairdressers - strange isn't it!

I agree... love culottes. And that top is soooo cute with them. I need to get out of my exercising leggings or shorts which I wear when walking. Sometimes I stay in them for the entire day..SO BAD.
