Check Mate!

Morning all!
Wow isn't August flying by!
It's really showing signs of Autumn do you think?  With temperatures dropping considerably I'm wondering if Summer is now over!  It's just as well I didn't end up buying very many new Summery pieces, maybe I will try to concentrate on transitional bits instead.
I'm a big fan of wearing dresses and I recently shared two with you that I bought in the Next sale, remember my patchwork shirt dress and this boho beauty.  This post features the last in a trio of bewitching beauties.

Checkered patterns never really leave the arena do they, they are always mingling in the background and every so often make it to the top of the fashion stakes just like this little stunner.

I actually picked this particular dress for June's Style not Age Check Me Out challenge but was unlucky with delivery details, I hadn't realised it would arrive too late for the edit - but as it fitted me and fitted my style I decided to keep it and have been looking forward to this opportunity of sharing it with you.
This, like my previous bargains was found in the Next sale and for the princely sum of £12!  Yes I can hear your gasps!  How lucky!

It's a long, girly twisty-turny skirt isn't it.  I can't help but swish it about.  The bias cut skirt flatters me and always look elegant.  It has a fitted bodice and long sleeves which make it an enviable addition come the Autumn where a cute jacket or jumper will complete the outfit.
These are great colours for next season when it will be all about tans, rusts, pinks and nudes.
Keeping neutrals going with this outfit I've worn ankle boots and picked out my pale pink Primark cheapies.  I've not worn these since Spring, it's so nice to put old faithfuls on isn't it!  I've also tried my Monsoon boots with it and they look just as attractive.

I chose this cute little shoulder bag which pairs with the pink plaid too, however brown, cream or orange would have been good choices too.

I'm not really one for wearing thick belts with dresses, but felt this needed one to cinch in the waist & add some interest.  This half elastic, half plaited brown one has been around for a while and if I remember correctly is from Primark aswell!  They always have cute little belts to suit tons of outfits. Wearing a belt is a great way of getting a neat waist line eh!

This, like my previous bargains was found in the Next sale and for the princely sum of £12!  Yes I can hear your gasps! How lucky!

This has a mangeable zip up the back - I could reach it, but sometimes they cause havoc if you're alone don't they!

Glad you could stop by, have a super week everyone - don't forget to join me on Thursday for #Chicandstylish.
Esther Ruby kindly took today's photos, She's doing so well with her photography and I'm excited to share she nailed her exams after three years hard work. XX
Bye for now. X
