Good morning my friends.
How's your week gone?
Have you had hot weather? We've had beautiful sunny hot days recently, you know the ones with really blue skies and no clouds, so much so I've invested in a fan! It's been on most nights and almost feels like I've been abroad. Although the room service isn't much to talk about! Ha ha ha.
You may recall I recently bought some dresses from Next online - this rust maxi was one of them! I wanted some summer dresses as I love wearing them when it's hot as they're so much easier to style and oh-so-comfy to wear. When I manage to get away for a break I'll be continuing to take one pieces with me for that very reason! I can just picture myself in this one strolling pretty towns and village boutiques, dining alfresco somewhere hot and exotic! Oh I can dream can't I!
Let's talk about this maxi dress that caught my eye. It's got a real festival vibe going on. The relaxed drawstring waist, tired gypsy skirt and loveable baggy sleeves all have the boho feel. A long dress or skirt really earn their keep in my opinion - they can be worn on numerous occasions and always look fab. I've adding the straw hat I picked up in Spain, flat sandals and my crochet bag to complete my look.
Next have nicely affordable pieces like my rust maxi which was in the clearance section for the cool cost of £19 (unfortunately now sold out) but also sell all sorts of designer brands like Mint Velvet, Boden and Fig Leaves.
I always feel I'm making a statement when I wear a long dress. Something you'd wear? Go on lady wear the dress, walk the walk and lap up the attention you deserve. 🤟
Another good reason for wearing a long dress is to cover pale legs, or legs that you might have neglected in the morning shower 🤣
A simple string of big bold beads finish off today's outfit and a festival outfit isn't complete without the obligatory aviator sunglasses my friends!
I'm all over this feminine fancy - it's just so wearable. X
Thanks so much for joining me today, Esther Ruby kindly took these photos for me. She's excelled herself with these amazing shots in a local walking area, isn't the backdrop super!
Did you catch my first Next dress I showed you - see my navy & pink shirt dress here.
