How are you all?
Been a funny old week for me. My daughter and family, who are living with me, have gone off for a few days away! It's been very odd to say the least! Extremely quiet, dare I say tidy and rather boring! No impromptu cuddles, toys on the floor, kids programs on the telly or a big den in the front room! 😄
They are back on Friday and I'm sure once they're home it will be like they've never left, it will get me used to them eventually moving on to their new property though. Not looking forward to that one bit!
It has given me the opportunity to get back into blogging though and I've planned quite a few posts in advance - so that's going to be very helpful & I'll have more precious time to make memories with the grand-kids eh!
I've only bought a couple of Autumnal bits so far, and this little top from H & M is one of them. I spotted it and felt it would adapt many clothes already in my wardrobe and get them ready for our new season.
You might remember the culottes I was gifted them from Bonmarche a couple of months ago - I teamed them with another blouse from Bonmarche and got a lot of interest from both.
Even though they are more of a thinner fabric they'll be alright to wear with a longer jacket like the one I'm wearing here. They look like a matching suit don't they? That's just lucky for me. The lightweight trench coat is from Oasis (see it over white jeans with tan accessories). Unfortunately their shops have been closed due to the current situation, but you can still buy online and it seems Boohoo have bought them out, great news as their pieces are so wearable, flattering and just that little bit different.
My jacket will really come into it's own now the weather has got cooler, it's a great addition to many an outfit and can be popped over the top for running about in!
So let me tell you about the rest of today's look. I picked up the short sleeve top in H & M for a whopping £7. It's now sold out as I can't find it on the website, but you might be fortunate and find one in store. I wanted to collect more neutral pieces and this fitted the bill easily. I also picked up a long line cardigan, jacket or duster (whatever you call it) over the top to give longevity into Autumnal days.
This way is covers the half elastic waist of the trousers as I prefer not to see the elastic!
I adore the mules, but as they're quite high I save them for special occasions. I've been meaning to look for something a little lower and more acceptable to wear in the daytime - have you seen anything? Do let me know if you have. X
Using a cream bag to compliment my top and this padded tote bag comes from T K Maxx, now you may remember I love their bags and can usually see at least half a dozen I want every time I go in!!!
This is similar that I love!

DeleteThe blouse sure is a perfect match for the culottes. I really love the camel tones of this outfit: very autumnal! And those mules are so pretty: I don't typically like the look of mules but these are outstanding! It's amazing the difference when there are less people in the house!
