Hope you are all well.
I'd like to start today off with a big Happy Birthday to Esther Ruby! 🎈
With my busy household at the moment I've yet to changeover my summer wardrobe for more warmer attire. I am planning to do it sometime .... err ... very soon! I need to get things sorted as I have clothes and footwear absolutely everywhere! The trouble with having all the seasons clothing around and nowhere to put it means I can't really see anything to be able to match, plan and keep track of. Watch this space for the mammoth task being completed. 😏
I need to be making room for new pieces like the sweet mint green and biscuit top I wore with neutral culottes and lightweight trench coat last week, and this long line cardigan I picked up in the Marks and Spencer sale along with a caramel snake print shirt from H & M!
I really love to see soft colour palettes like biscuit, cream, soft pink, white and grey. They aren't colours that work naturally for me it's something I have to work on. Certain shades just make me look washed out, tired and pale so I try to add deeper tones into the mix. This is where my new blouse came into its own. With darker hues the caramel print tied my white jeans and mink duster together perfectly and kept my colours lifted to compliment my tones.
After seeing the outcome of my mint green kimono previously I knew I wanted to add another in a neutral shade like this one. I found it in the M & S sale for £9.50! It's so useful to just chuck on when I fly out the door or grab when I'm a bit chilly. This soft shade of oatmeal is a great little number and it's a good cover-up too! Love this from Mint Velvet.
White straight leg jeans are a great look for dry Autumnal days, they look so crisp and smart and quite honestly can be paired with just about anything. I'm adoring this look and will be re-creating it again, so long as there's no rain!
Huge mistake with the lip choice here! It last a last minute addition and I really should have opted for a brown or red at least - note to self - check my lippy shade next time!!!! This one would have been a faultless alternative.
Thanks so much for joining me today - good to have you here.
Do stop by on Thursday for the #LINKUP.
Esther Ruby took photos today - love and hugs. X

What a fun mix of neutrals! i really like the snake print with this, and the long cardigan. I had a grey maxi cardigan I'd taken it to work to ward off the cold aircon in the office - with the shutdown it's still there now, hopefully not being eaten by bugs being wool, haha!
ReplyDeleteHope you had a wonderful weekend :) Thanks so much for joining the #WeekdayWearLinkup!

Your shirt and bag match perfectly! I have to be careful with neutrals too, I can't wear beige. I hope Esther had a lovely birthday! Thanks for linking up!
