Hope you are all doing well, staying safe and are most definitely still sane!
What have you been up to? I've had a busy week and am looking forward to a post-Christmas rest - it'll be nice to enjoy some down-time and lazy TV days - how about you?
Last Tuesday I managed to use my Mother's Day voucher in my local beauty salon. The kids had bought it so I could have a facial. I'd decided to embrace a new beauty routine this year, involving facials and home beauty treatments so the gift voucher would start the process. Unfortunately Covid struck so I haven't been able to use it. However I did start my own skin care regime after being introduced to Neal's Yard Remedies & am impressed with the results.
Yesterday I actually went into town shopping - relieved to say I'm nearly done. My daughter is coming for dinner in exchange for wrapping my pressies, which is going to be so helpful. I also looked after my grandson for a few hours which was a joy! It involved crawling on the floor barking like a dog and rolling cars to and from him - ha ha ha.
I managed to track down the magazine I'd been after - Yours Magazine is specifically aimed at my age group and I've enjoyed reading it from front to back. It just so happens I got myself featured again, yes You can read all about what I'll be wearing on Christmas Day along with another couple of bloggers choices.
So what will you be wearing Christmas Day? I always wear something that's firstly comfortable and secondly glitzy or glamorous. This red velour skirt fits the bill perfectly. It's on a nice elastic waistband which is going to be so helpful when I eat too much next week - lol. It's also a great length for sitting around on the floor with the grandkids. I wanted to go for a bold and 'out there' top, so my leopard print stretchy roll neck works beautifully and won't show any spills, although I do don an apron whenever I cook as I hate getting oily splashes on my clothes. Are you an apron wearer?
My gorgeous skirt has been on the blog previously and quite frankly hasn't dated - that's the beauty of pleats and velour - always in fashion. Mine is from Marks & Spencer a while ago, but this one is just as stylish.
Leopard print is a bit like marmite, you either love it or hate it. I love it and all animal prints, so when I found this in H & M, I knew it would come home with me. You can see it's a fitted roll neck, but it's so nice and stretchy - not at all tight. I've worn it with my faux leather jeans and cute new trainers and I'll be sharing them next week, do stop back to see them. x
Red sling backs and padded black clutch bag to finish my look, however I will be wearing slippers on Christmas Day - well I will be at home and hopefully in new ones. 😁 My shoes are still available for just under £60 & my bag is discontinued, but this one is a brilliant substitute.

Lovely outfit, Jacqui! The red skirt and heels are just so festive! I am one who is a bit ambivalent about animal prints, but they’ve been growing on me. I like the rich color in your leopard top. And amusingly, I am linking up in a leopard print. LOL!

Even if I am in loungewear. We are celebrating Christmas all this week with my in-laws and Christmas Day will be spent with our best friends. All small gatherings, of course! Wishing you a very merry Christmas!

DeleteI love the red and velvet - that's a beautiful skirt! I'll be wearing a maxi dress for Christmas day but I haven't decided which one yet - definitely one from my wardrobe instead of buying new as I wore a new dress last year, but still caught between 2 possible choices, haha!
