How are you?
Welcome to the first Style not Age collective of 2021 - the first on many and we're off to a comfy start with the prompt from Gail .....
Lounging at Home.
Seeing as we are all stuck at home in lock-down we might as well be comfortable doing it eh & we all love wearing lounge wear don't we! I've acquired several cute sets over the past few months and hubby has bought me a couple too. Now the only down side to wearing nice baggy elasticated waisted trousers is when reverting to wearing jeans, skirts or trousers they all feel tight on! Best advice is to wear something fitted a couple of times a week - which I've been doing!
Items marked with * have been gifted to me, however these are 100% my own honest comments.
Sales of lounge wear is reportedly up 40% so it's no wonder there's an abundance of choice - every online store now sells lounge wear, nightwear or tracksuits of some description and quite frankly we are spoilt for choice.
When I was approached by Bonmarche* to review a choice of lounge wear* I jumped at the chance, well a girl can never have enough trackies and it just happened to fit in beautifully with today's challenge.
Have you been blowing the budget on comfy clothes too?
This co-ordinated two piece has been a joy to wear. It's soft, snuggly, not tight and I feel so relaxed in it. There are two pattern choices and you can see I opted for my beloved animal style - well would you expect anything else! Both items cost a total of £32 and come in a big range of sizes - I consider they are true to size so would recommend you buy as you normally would.
I tucked the long top into the bottoms creating an all-in-one effect, but would happily wear it hanging loose. There's a faux tie on the waistband along with cuff finish on the hem. The top has long sleeves and a round neck - made from polyester and elastane this machine washable zebra print version is on top of the cosy pile. It's perfect for reading, drinking tea and eating home made cookies c/o Little Berry Bakes (do check out her site as she now post's certain goodies).💛
I've been enjoying my new dressing room, taking advantage of reading I Am Beauty skincare and beauty book that was my giveaway win from The Bias Cut & Riku Campo. With not a lot else to do I've been doing what everyone else seems to be doing watching TV and binge watching Netflix series like Bridgerton, have you seen it? If it's a no then you must, I loved it! It's the talk of social media, so I can't wait for series 2 - are you a fan?
First let's start with Gail - Is This Mutton, who's prompt it was is looking rather settled in her Mango two piece. After a busy morning like Gail's had reading or watching TV is just the right answer.
Next up Hilda - Over the Hilda is relaxing on the sofa waiting for a cashmere mix suit but didn't like so wore an old faithful that looks fabulous anyway - you certainly look at ease Hilda - keep up the good work!
Anna - Anna's Island Style is twinning with me this month as we have both plumped for animal print. Seriously you can't go wrong with these patterns as Anna proves in her ASOS Jumpsuit.
Emma - Style Splash has gone all glittery in her outfit with the addition of some sparkly joggers. She's topped them off with a starry top & embellished sock trainers, you look ready for more than lounging on the sofa - love it Emma!
So pleased you could join us today, many thanks we all appreciate it.
Catch you on Thursday for the last #LINKUP of January, come on over all you #Chicandstylish people.
Bye for now. X

Super cute loungewear set, Jacqui! I love it! I have been wearing clothing with waistbands at least twice a week since the middle of lockdown when I read something about it keeping me honest with my poor eating habits! Haha. It really does help to keep you in check though!

What fun loungewear! I felt the urge to buy some loungewear at the start of lockdown last year but instead I pulled out all my pyjamas and loungewear sets and realised I had quite enough to wear, haha! I tend to wear things in my wardrobe until they literally fall apart - and then I'll just turn them into loungewear and wear them some more! I do admire cute sets like this, but I'm usually wearing daggy old pyjamas or old clothes around the house as loungewear. I have one pair of trackie daks I'm sure I stole from hubby at one point too, ha!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for joining the #WeekdayWearLinkup! Hope that you are having a good weekend :) Another hot one here, we had to leave the park as it was just too warm!
