Wishing you all a Happy New Year - and welcome to 2021!
Tan boots are a must for any collection I think, a neutral shade like tan works with so many other colours, here I've opted for denim and camel. Shared in this post I was elated to tell you I'd managed to buy the Billy Bookcases for my spare dressing room. They arrived and my hubby and son put them together over a couple of days, Christmas and Covid arrived and I haven't managed to get it finished with all my shoes, clothes and bags installed - my aim is to get this done over the next few days and then I can share it with you - I can't wait to get it all done. Just need to buy some door handles then I'm done!
In the midst of Covid I'm not sure how I managed to get this next post out! With all my household suffering the dreaded virus, it certainly was a hard Christmas to encounter. We managed a small celebration, but nothing like our usual and the fact most of the children and grand-kids were missing was a hard pill to swallow - I also missed having my mum with me as she usually comes one day over the festive holiday. We all caught up on video calls, but have all decided to have another big Christmas day when we can, we can exchange all our presents then too - reckon the grand-kids will love that - more presents to open!
Is it a good morning for you?
I'm over the worst of Covid and couldn't be happier.
What an awful virus to have, I plan to share my experience in a future post.
But first let's have a look back over the past month for my ...
December Review.
It's been a month of new boots for me, which unfortunately I've not been able to wear any since not being able to go out. Once my isolating is over I plan on trying them all out again with different outfits!
At the beginning of December when the excitement for Christmas was abundant, I knew I had plenty of time to get sorted, but little did we know that Tier 4 was just round the corner.
I loved styling the Whitney boots from Lotus Shoes, the dressy pair of imi-suede ankle boots complimented this faux wrap dress beautifully, but look equally as nice with trousers - do watch out for these classic little booties in another guise.
I'm really looking forward to styling the Brierley boot from Hotter Shoes, they worked a treat with this paisley skirt and snuggly jumper. The cowboy boot in soft camel suede really are a dream to wear, they look fabulous and score high in the fashion stakes.

In mid December I was feeling really pleased with myself, you see I was lucky enough to be featured in Yours Magazine again, sharing what I would be wearing on Christmas Day, although we all know how that turned out don't we!
As we were nearing Christmas Day I found the Boyd High Top trainer an absolute godsend. My VanDal boots are one of the best for running around in, and that's just what I did in them. They look super with jeans as well as jog bottoms - but my favourite mix is with faux leather like this, you really need these in your life!
The last post of the month featured the ladies of the Style not Age collective and we were sharing outfits based around the prompt - Out and About. Here's my take on the challenge although I was more in and lounging around rather than being out and about. Lounge wear and tracksuits have been my 'go-to' clothes over the past couple of weeks, just imagine slippers and chunky jumper. 😉
Hi Jacqui - so very sorry you have been ill with the virus - sounds horrible. Get well soon and fingers crossed that this comment gets through to you as I think my comments have been disappearing!

Some really pretty outfits! We gathered with family on Christmas but that was it. Thankfully everyone is still healthy here but several of our friends did get covid during the holidays. Happy you plan to get together later and glad you are on the mend.
