Moncler Sunglasses - #Chicandstylish #LINKUP

Morning my friends,
Hope you are okay and having fun in the snow (UK & certain areas).

Sorry there was no post on Monday, you know how it goes - life gets in the way sometimes!
Anyhow did you get snow?  We did and I was a little underwhelmed to say the least!  With the forecasts threatening heavy snow in my area I imagined a deep layer and the possibility of sledging in the local field.  By Tuesday and Wednesday my wish had come true and there was enough to sledge and even get the blades out of the loft for the kids to practice skiing.  I may have a go it if stays long enough. Oh but hasn't it been cold!
Read about my skiing trips here in Sestriere & here my cheeky weekend in Valmorel.
On Saturday, before the snow hubby and I managed to trim the hedge back - it's grown so much over the years and we hacked and cleared nearly 4ft off the width.  It looks quite harsh, but wont be long until it's covered with leaves and looking healthy.  Now we have to hire a chipper to shred it all then spread the bark over the garden - hoping for suitable weather next weekend to get it done. 🙏

They're like a modern day 'Jackie O' style which just so happens who I'm named after - interesting little fact about me! 😏

Still struggling with photos because of lock-down and the weather so today I'm sharing my new sunglasses I got for Christmas.

I was truly spoiled at Christmas by hubby and received some wonderful presents including the Vintage Clothes Stand [in my new dressing room] to name one.  We exchanged our gifts but no-one was feeling 100% so wasn't as fun and as happy as it should have been because we all got Covid and felt really poorly.
After the grotty Christmas we decided to have another Christmas Day with roast turkey in early January - imagine my surprise when hubby presented me with another present - these stunning sunglasses!  I love sunnies and wear some even when the weather is dark, cloudy and raining .... well I say wear them, I push them up to keep my hair out of my face - kinda of a hair accessory!
I've never actually bought anything from Moncler, but have always wanted to.  When skiing in Courchevel I pass the shop on the slopes and long to go in and buy something - so you can understand how excited I was to get these tortoise shell beauties.

This style suits me so well, I have a few different shapes and colours, but this is the one I favour most.  I nearly always opt for a tortoise shell - so I'm pretty much predictable with my choice and hubby got it spot on!  They're like a modern day 'Jackie O' style which just so happens who I'm named after - interesting little fact about me! 😏

  5. They are beautiful sunglasses, Jacqui! I have to wear prescription sunglasses so I only have two pairs because they cost so darn much! But I do love a fun pair of sunnies! And how cool that you were named for Jackie O.! That is an interesting little fact. I was not named for anyone so I have no fun name stories or history to share!

  8. Those are great sunglasses, your husband is an A+ gift-giver! I love the retro chic oversized style of them. It seems to be snowing just about everywhere but the tropics, now-we are getting a few more inches of the white stuff today! Thanks for the link up, and hope you have a good weekend.

  9. Our nice weather this week has be reaching for sunglasses and getting into the mood to look for some outdoor furniture. But alas it will be cold again this weekend. I am trying to add a couple sunglasses to my arsenal but I usually go for inexpensive ones since with kids they tend to get stepped on or sat on!

  13. I love a gorgeous pair of sunnies! Although these days I have to have prescription ones so I can't just go and get a designer pair, adding the lenses makes it so expensive. These look really lovely. Michelle x

  20. So sorry you all got Covid! That stinks. But your make-up holiday sounded lovely, and I love your sunglasses! It snowed a little here on Saturday but hardly any - not nearly enough considering the temperatures have been SO cold!
