Cornflower Blue Midi Dress - #Chicandstylish #LINKUP

Morning my friends.
Apologies for no post on Monday - photos are still my issue!

So starting to think there might be light at the end of the Lock-down tunnel lately.  Although it can't come quick enough can it.  With over 65's being called for their vaccine my age is still on target to have jab's by mid April hopefully, possibly sooner would be great eh! Have you had yours yet?
I've still been enjoying wearing my lounge wear with jeans thrown into the mix every so often - but I'm more and more thinking about my Spring 21 wardrobe and having a look at what to buy.  I've already bought some faux leather jeans and culottes & I can't wait to style and share them with you.
I'm always on the look-out for a flattering dress though!

Pretty floral midi dresses always seem to be popular don't they!  I've got various styles and colours that I wear in the Summer or team with jumpers and boots to make them acceptable for cooler days.

I found this one in F & F, drawn by the pretty cornflower blue and white pattern and the perfect midi length I love.  Costing a whopping £24 - a bargain if ever I found one - it was just begging to be bought!
I know it'll get plenty of wear as it has tons of options.  I've added baseball trainers and denim jacket to score high in the informal fashion stakes, but by losing the flats and adding some cute heels the outfit's taken up a level making it perfect for lunch alfresco or drinks in the bar - oh sorry a bar is where we used to go to have a drink with friends pre-covid! Lol.

I decided to add a bold necklace and picked my Jaeger silver and pearl ball beauty - it always get's a comment of two and I love the elegance it brings.  Tempting you with this one that's similar.
When I wear the dress with heels I've got a dainty white flower necklet in mind, as well as a little cropped jacket in navy blue.

Costing a whopping £24 - a bargain if ever I found one - it was just begging to be bought!

Not sure you can see there's a faint red spot in the design so I popped a red crossbody bag on as another option - what would you choose?
I'll certainly get a lot of wear from this dress and am tempted to buy the other colour-way which is cream, green and muted salmon.  This one is very similar.

  8. It is a lovely dress, Jacqui! Don't you just love when clothing begs to be bought?! I really like the way you have styled it casually with sneakers and a denim jacket. And the other color way dress that you linked is really pretty, too. I think that one is begging to bought as well!

  9. Such a cute dress and I like the red bag with it! :) we don't even have the vaccine available yet in Australia, it will be quite a while before I get it, haha! they said they might start rolling it out this month to the quarantine workers and medical professionals but I haven't heard when it will start yet. Still no cases here to really need a vaccine I guess!

Hope your week is going well :)

  16. This sweet blue floral dress looks great layered, and will be such a nice addition for spring! I am pining for sunny and warm weather. The majority of the US is under an arctic blast and currently in Maryland we have a treacherous mix of ice, snow and freezing rain ! 🥶
