The Perfect Boots for Spring Dressing.

Hi there my friends.
How are you?
On Saturday I had my first vaccine!  I felt fine afterwards and didn't suffer from any side effects.  I even managed to cut the grass.  Only the front lawn, but all being well and with accommodating weather this week I will tackle the back garden.
Sunday was the usual slow day, I didn't make any prior plans to cook as I didn't know how I'd be feeling, but with no bad effects I helped cook a wonderful roast lamb dinner - yummy!

I'm keeping up with my couch to 5k routine and am getting back into the swing of running.  I do need some new running trainers and hopefully that will have more of an improvement. 😉

Today I'm sharing one o my Mother's Day presents.  A few years ago the kids got me some ivory ankle boots that have been worth their weight in gold.  They've completed many a stylish outfit and are still going strong ... you've probably seen them on the blog once or twice *tongue in cheek emoji*  How lucky to get another longer version this year.  You're going to love these my friends. X

A pair of boots gives a new lease of life to dresses in the Winter don't they, so imagine having a creamy-white pair.  Summery dresses layered with jumpers & jackets paired with cream boots, what a great combination.  I've got loads of dresses & skirts that will benefit from this ASOS pair - not to mention white jeans as well.
Here I've picked this classic style dress from Next.  The colours got me first, along with the abstract pattern.  With hues of navy, petrol blue, grey, khaki and off white I reckon this is a perfect example of a dress to wear in the Spring.

It has three quarter sleeves with stylish faux poppers down the edge.  It also has slits up either side and statement raglan arms - very 80's eh!   But wait the best bit is it has big patch pockets!  Hidden in the pattern, they're a fabulous addition - am I the only person who loves pockets?
The neckline is also a very flattering boat line.  It doesn't have a fastening, just slips over the head, it's so easy to wear & the matching belt cinches in at the right place for a really comfortable fit.  An all round fabulous dress that can be taken up a notch with heels or bring a casual feel like mine with boots.

Let's talk about white coats shall we?  Are you a fan?  I've wanted one for ages, and when I found this on New Look's sale section I couldn't resist.  It was just over £20 for a long lined coat!  Bargain eh.
The classic coat will take any outfit to the next level - I'm feeling very chic in this one.

One button fastening, deep pockets and a fashionable revere collar.  You're going to need one to rock your Spring Dresses, but be quick as they only have a few available!

This inside zip is so helpful, I can get them on with ease. I bought a pair of boots the other day with no zips just elastic inserts either side - couldn't get my foot anywhere near the inside - yes they got returned!! 😠

It was great to have Esther Ruby take my photos again, socially distanced of course.  Many thanks darling. X

  6. What a beautiful dress! the colours are so nice on you and I really like the cream coat and boots with it - nice outfit for spring! :)

Thanks so much for joining the #WeekdayWearLinkup! Hope you are having a good weekend. The rain has stopped here so we went out to one of the unflooded trails in the neighbourhood yesterday :)

  7. Jacqui, this outfit is so fabulous! I have been wanting a pair of tall white or ivory boots. I recently ordered a pair but when they arrived, they are more of a light taupe, almost gray color. They are beautiful, so I kept them, but I still want tall white ones! I have a bunch of dresses in this style that would be so pretty styled with white boots. I guess I'll go shopping now! Haha.
