Animal Print top from Bonmarche with Wide Leg Trousers.

Morning my friends.
Hope you're doing well.
I'm in the thick of birthday's this and next month, with 10 to celebrate! Two under my belt already - it's an expensive month I can tell you!
It will be nice to try and have a bit more of a celebration than last year when it was literally my family indoors who could enjoy the day.  I'm praying for better weather so we can make full use of my new-last-year rattan furniture.
I'm venturing out to do some more retail therapy again this week, I so enjoyed having a look at what's on offer and hope there's more to see.  I'll be sharing my two jumpers with you soon, actually one next week for the Style not Age challenge - do stop by to see our latest task.
I'm also off to the hair salon on Thursday, I can't wait!!! Have you had a trim yet?

Items marked with * have been gifted to me, however these are 100% my own honest comments.

You could have seen my post from last week when I shared the dress in the same pattern & I can't help but be drawn like a moth to a flame for anything animal print.
This pretty top from Bonmarche* has a fancy frill on the peplum hem and also on the cuff of the 3/4 length sleeves, giving it a flirty feel that can be casualised with jeans and a trendy half tuck.
I like the pretty gathered neckline that gives it a nice modern vibe too.  It's available in sizes 8 to 20 and I found it fits true to size too.  It's a snip at £18 which makes this fashionable little top so affordable.

It's often been said not to pair black with brown, but I reckon it's a match made in heaven - don't you?
Here it's been teamed with my tan wide leg trousers, I had thought about black palazzo's or my faux leather pencil skirt - both would have worked well.
If you follow me on Instagram you will have seen these tan beauties before - I found them on the M & S sale site and had to buy them, they are fabulous and I'm so pleased with them.  I had bought a short and regular but returned the shorter length, I now wish I'd kept them - you win some, you lose some eh!  I could have worn them with trainers.

Don't be fooled by the sunshine here, I certainly needed my warm faux suede biker jacket as the wind was bitingly cold.  I've had this one for many years now, a Christmas present and makes an appearance every once in a while and still looks like new!  Well done Zara but here's an alternative from M & S.

Brown patent tote bag (similar) and nude heels completed my neutral look here and It's one I love to wear - so classic and very flattering.

Thanks for joining me here today - so good to have your support my lovely friends.
Esther Ruby very kindly took these photos for me - thank you darling you really do have an eye for details. 😀
Catch up with you on Thursday for the #LINKUP
Cheerio for now. X

  4. The sunshine fools us here too: you would think it is mild outside in the morning but it is cold! Oh, that is a lot of birthdays! Septembers are like that for us so I try to plan ahead by saving a little. Hope you enjoy some nice family time.

  5. I love this look, Jacqui! And your photos are so fun and creative. I also love black and brown together and never really understood how or why it was a fashion rule to not combine the two. Happy celebrating! We have Archie's 10th birthday party this afternoon. Thanks for linking with me!
