Glad you could stop by today.
You're just in time to see what the Style not Age collective have been creating from the prompt set by
Anna.
She made it easy for us with the challenge ....
Spring Sweaters.
Let me tell you a bit about my week. I took charge of my Giveaway prize on Friday. I was lucky enough to win a stylish lounge suit from Asquith London and I'm revelling in the comfiness of the two pieces - do pop over to IG to see them.
Saturday night we managed to have drinks and food al fresco with our good friends - it was rather chilly so not a late and raucous night we would usually have - that will come, my friends that will come! ðŸ¤
Another two birthday's celebrated over the weekend with my daughters on Friday and daughter-in-law's on Sunday - all celebrated outside I'm pleased to say but was bloody cold though! There's another two this week and then a bit of a lul until the next three-in-a-row!!! (I told you it was an expensive couple of months - lol)
A sweater or jumper is common place in the UK when the weather is so changeable and there's so many pretty styles, shades and textures to choose from. I picked this one up in my local Fenwicks on a quick visit last week. The Phase Eight jumper is a beautiful shade of firey red & gives off positive vibes don't you think? It makes me feel happy when I wear this colour and worn with white it's a look I love!
White looks great with any colour really so I knew my bright sweater would look super. These are skinny jeans & the white certainly compliments the vivid orange. I paired my long white boots with them as the weather was still very cold. The Asos boots have worked their magic with lots of dresses so why not see how they look with jeans - quite nice I think.
A white clutch bag complete with patterned scarf tied to it added a nice pop of blue. It's a clean easy-to-wear look that I'm so at home with - in fact this is what I wore on Saturday night - along with my white coat which kept me nice and warm for outside dining!
You can see the fine knit jumper has a large scoop neckline and is quite a flattering box shape that has little slits up either side.
You can see the fine knit jumper has a large scoop neckline and is quite a flattering box shape that has little slits up either side. The sleeves are typical for Spring/Summer weather as they are 3/4 length. All in all the pretty top will be an excellent addition to my wardrobe and was in the sale for the bargain price of £29.00! Now sold out this similar jumper would be a nice alternative.
Let's see what Anna picked. She's certainly making the most of her vintage Laura Ashley jumper on a chilly beach - paired over some floral trousers she's ready to face any Spring winds she may encounter on her daily walks. Catch more on her blog Anna's Island Style.
Emma opted for a favourite of mine - pink and green - good choice Emma, but you're not alone with your pick! ⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️ See more for Emma - The Style Splash.
Next shall we see what Hilda went for. Black and white never fails to impress me and that's just what your's has done Hilda. You can catch all the details of her monochrome look here - Over the Hilda.
Last but not least Gail - Is This Mutton. Gail you look super with your new shorter hair style and I adore seeing you in this pretty pastel green - I love to see the different tones going on - very much a Spring outfit.
Lovely to have you here with us today - thanks for coming over. Don't forget to head over to my four friends to see what their back-stories are.
Photos taken by My daughter Sophie (Little Berry Bakes) - is there no end to her talents?
See you on Thursday for the #Chicandstylish #LINKUP
